So, instead of getting 4 seasons a year, we're now getting 3 "episodes". Sounds like they are very much scaling back to work on something else.

I'm thinking "Final Shape" will be my jumping off point, but we'll see.

Makes sense as wasn't Destiny supposed to die off after this year or the next ?

I have no idea why they're going to keep milking D2, it should end with the final shape but I guess not.

I think it is going to be a long while before we see anything else big from Bungie outside of Marathon. They want to keep that live service money coming in.

It is unclear if there even will be a Destiny 3 at this point.
 
My big worry is that the story is not going to have a good ending. We're just going to kill the Witness in the raid and return to some sort of new normal. I'm sure there will be consequences, but they aren't going to change the base game.

This new season seems fun though, and the story is pretty cool so far.
 
You can finally set shaders to be favorites, so you can have the couple that actually look good be at the top all the time.

There's some good QOL improvements this season. The Spire activity is fun, not sure about Altars though, people just want to offer the tier 3 only to fail miserably but to be fair the modifier this week is terrible.
