I think that's part of why I'm so intrigued by it. It's far from cookie-cutter.

I've heard the price on DD is 40 bucks for x1. Good ol Gamestop have it for 65. lol I'll be going digital here to if that turns out to be the difference on luanch

And the split screen off line co-op just sold me on the game. With four kids in my home, games that allow us to play as a family get buying priority.

So are my nephews. I don't see in the description...is there a single-player mode? Does it have any challenges like the original where you fight off waves of zombies on your own? I wouldn't buy this game for multiplayer only as in general I loathe playing shooters online because of 1.) kids and/or mic talk and 2.) my skill level on shooter is spawn/die/spawn/die which really gets grating after about 5 minutes.
The Popcap Games link posted earlier says that there will be a split screen offline co-op mode exclusive to the Xbox One version. Yeah, I'm not too keen on online multiplayer either, but the offline co-op would be perfect for my son and I.
There is no single player as such but there is online and offline co-op, like Gears horde mode.
Even if you aren't good at online shooters, the horde mode should still be fun(that's what I keep telling myself anyway)
The latest video is absolutely fantastic. It's very to just go all like...''meh this game? Probably fun for a short while'' because of it's looks and all that. But for me thats exactly what i love. I love the look of it and it seems to be lots and lots of fun. Hilarious as hell too. I will definitely buy this.
Hopefully it has a nice selection of maps, given it's a multiplayer game only, it really needs a good amount of maps.

Man that's a bit too negative to think like that. I can see where you are coming from, cause everyone will move over to Titanfall in March, but i hope PvZ will get its fanbase too. By the looks of it, it would be very deserving.
I was playing Blur tonight, it was pretty much dead online only 50 or so people, but we could still get full 16 player races going.
I don't think this has to sell gangbusters, it will still be popular enough to get full games going.
I think this will have a decent following if the game plays as good as it looks. The competition for MP shooters on the X1 alones is pretty barebones. BF4 is not working right and Ghosts isn't the addiction it once was for some people. Really, there's no other nexgen game like it right now, and for the rest of the foreseeable year so it has a competitive edge for itself.
BF4 not working? I was at my bro's yesterday and it worked absolutely fine. He hasn't had any problems yet. i guess he's lucky
I hope there's no micro-transactions in the game. You earn coins, but they haven't explained what they can be used for.
