Remains of the Torvosaurus gurneyi were found in Portugal and the creature was up to 33 feet long and weighed up to five tonnes.
The dinosaur, who lived around 150 million yeas ago, had a 3.75ft long head that was filled with blade-shaped teeth that were up to four inches long.
Experts say the length of the dinosaur's teeth suggests it was near the top of the food chain and ate other large dinosaurs.
The findings were published in the online journal Public Library Of Science ONE.
