I do like it better but I still don't know...Maybe it's some OCD of mine but my two main issues are still...

- I think the icons are still too big.
- I don't like the fact that the icons aren't coherent. It feels like they don't belong. For example, here's what I think three of the icons should be... (edited of course)

And more OCD here but I don't like the fact that the Art House Forum icon is cropped. It makes it stand out when you see all the other icons stand by themselves cleanly.

That would take some heavy template editing to get a long logo in there rather than one than a square one.

If only Nintendo had an iconic logo that represented their entire history (rather than the N64) in square form rather than lengthy rectangle form.
 
the icons do look nice, but they should work as complimentary images/devices istead of focal points. their current size doesnt trest them as such which is what produces the cheap/tacky look, imo.

heres a quick resizing of them. i also changed a couple as well (though couldnt think of anything for the multiplat forum)

looks better imo, cleaner, more coherent. could maybe even be smaller than that.

edit: in their current size i much prefer the brown tone images because they blend in more, but in a smaller size the coloureds could maybe work just aswell/better

Not that I even use Cream, but I do think they look better smaller as shown above.
 
Cream may have finally won me over with this.
 
New icons look great in cream. They just gel a lot better with the color.

Definitely have to agree with the Gordon point. Perhaps he was trying to make it not male dominated though? lol
 
PV, been using the newest style "cream?" and love it, but yesterday you took my "new post" button away? Such a chore to find it now and it's the one I always use. Can I have it back?

I didn't change anything on Cream yesterday. I did change Compact though. Is that the style you're using?
 
Seems to have fixed itself since I posted this. Not sure what was going on.
 
I wanted to comment on mobile mode of the forum. The terms & condition never go away, even after reading it, until you logged in, whcih come to the second point, which is the terms & condition is blocking the log in.
I have to find a small gap at the corner where the terms & condition did not covered the username & password to type in my username & password.
