Hitman Series

mmm it basically has DRM..

lost connection during a mission due to their servers? Get kicked back to the main menu.

Can't unlock anything or complete challenge's while not connected to the server.

I had thought about getting it, but this complete reliance on servers for a single player game is just... Just god damnit square enix. Stop it. You know better than to behave like this.

I was so ready to buy this game, and then they announced their plans. Why on earth would anybody want to pay full price and then get drip fed 95% of the game over a year is beyond me.

Oh look, they only fell behind on releasing that content. Who didn't see that coming:txbrolleyes:

That's one way to look at it... The other might be, that they're adding more value!

Instead of getting 1 years worth of content, the more they drag it out, with a season pass you could get 18-24 months worth of content!

Its like when you want to smash your console during long load times! They're giving you time to reflect on life, as well as teach you about prolonging gratification. Just like Edward and Bella had to in Twilight.

Awesome. I'm getting the physical copy of this on the 31st. Amazon has the usual $48 pre-order deal.

With the season finished and the recent issues for the developer I decided to replay the whole game.

Its good. Not blood money good but still a solid hitman game but looking at the achievements it has a lot of rare ones including finishing the final mission with only 9.41% completing it.

I think the episode format hurt it more than anything.

I just did the same thing. Replayed the entire game and tried to increase my mastery level on some of the stages. I had been doing the Elusive targets in between occasionally ( read: When I remembered they were available). I agree the game is solid. I think I'm coming around to this being better than Blood Money. Blood money is great but dated. Some of the mechanics after playing this version just don't feel right anymore. If they redid Blood money with the engine and mechanics, I'd buy it in a heartbeat because some of Blood Money's mission were superb.

I still give it to BM due to the better level design and story not to mention that ending just hasn't been topped.

Season 2 coming?

I am curious as to what this is. I think the devs already stated its not going to be season 2 though.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand I want to support the newly independent studio. On the other hand it remains to be seen if this content at 20 USD is worth it. That's nearly a third of the game when it was new or half when it was on sale.

I love the game. Just need to finish it. I got so caught up on the first map and wanted to unlock all the objectives. You really can get your money's worth.

A few things..

2 New Hitman game's coming

SE get 0 money from the GOTY sales

IO lost the rights to Kane and Lynch and Mini Ninjas but no word on freedom Fighters.

John Wick creator making a tv show

[UPDATE 2] Another teaser has landed, potentially showing more clues about an assassination target named Sierra Knox.

[UPDATE] A new teaser has arrived, and it may contain more clues about Hitman 2. Take a look for yourself and sound off in the comments.

The original story is below.

There are now a few reasons to believe a new Hitman game may be on the way. The official Hitman account sent out a cryptic tweet today that points to some kind of reveal on June 7, which is the same day that publisher Warner Bros. is holding a pre-E3 2018 reveal event.A tweet from the WB Games account shows a race car with the brand "Hamsun" on it; that could be a reference to the fictitious oil company referenced in Hitman Season 1. A more direct indication that Hitman 2 is coming is that a logo for Hitman 2 was found on WB's official website. So yeah.

The Hitman series was created and continues to be developed by IO Interactive, which was owned by Square Enix before the Japanese company sold it off. As part of the sale, IO Interactive kept the rights to the Hitman franchise. Given how well the game was received and the profile of the brand overall, it's no surprise that another big studio would come along to work with IO on more games.

IO previously talked about three seasons' worth of content for Hitman, and the studio continued to work on new Hitman content even amid the sale process. For now, this is just a rumour, even if it's a believable-sounding one. You can check out GameSpot's E3 2018 rumour roundup to find out more about what's rumoured ahead of the big show.Developing...

Just putting this out there... But that looked like Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

It just need music by the Prodigy, and some middle aged women striking fierce poses and taking their helmets off in slow motion.

Changed title now that it's not leaked but actually debuted.

Probably won't be a big departure from the last game, which is a shame, but I'm moderately pumped. These games always feel like they could use an extra year and 20+ million dollars to the development budget.

Oh and FFS, give us a damn multiplayer mode in this game. The cat and mouse potential would be so fun.

Unrelated, but there was this recent fun cat and mouse game, where one player was a sniper (who could only see through the sniper scope on another building) and the other player had to steal s*** and escape without raising suspicion.

It's called Spy Party, and in early access, but still super fun.
