Pre-E3 Thread of Hype! (Multiplatform)

That's your opinion, and while I'm sure it'll be shared by many if those games show, we already know those games are coming at some point.
But if they do show them, I'll be looking very, very carefully for release dates and/or actual gameplay.
Sony is notorious for a lot of flare during their conferences, and generally sh*tty on the follow through....until much later, if at all.
They are masters of the show. They showed some great stuff last year, wowed a lot of people ,and even said most of it would be coming within the year...and look what happened.
If they had shown only what was really coming this year the press would have destroyed them.
So I expect a glitzy show, but behind all that I'll be curious to see how much substance there really is.
Be prepared for extended PSVR stuff. I'm expecting 20-30 minutes on this alone.

Sony never promised dates with titles though, only with Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian. Uncharted 4 is out and The Last Guardian is finally coming out. Horizon was given a a target release date of 2016 but it is a hugely ambitious game so they did not want to put a proper date on it. Shenmue and FF7 remake never had dates too. I expect that to be the same this time barring one game possibly but I expect God of War 4, Bend's game and definitely Sucker Punch's game to all be 2017. We also must remember Sony announced Gravity Rush 2 at TGS and GT Sport at PGW and they are both confirmed for 2016 too. They could have easily swapped around a few games to make it look like they have more immediate releases for the next year or so but they went with the nostalgia affect instead.

Uncharted 4 (Three date changes)
No Man's Sky
The Order
Driveclub
The Last Guardian (lol)

Why is it that people refuse to see that it isnt just Halo, Forza and Gears anymore? So f***ing weird...

I usually respond to them by stating that we just have a Killzone, Uncharted and Gran Turismo world on our PlayStation. Milk, milk, milk.....

There is no question that Sony has been heavy with the delays but that didn't happen. No Man's Sky would likely be the only game that would fit what you said.

n/p. I know I give you sh*t, but I actually like you.

As for the off-center thing, I like that about myself. Who needs one more person joining the crowd, thinking/doing/liking what everyone else is thinking/doing/liking? That's dull. The road less travelled and all that stuff.

Interesting. I share that same perspective. No wonder we poke at one another. One of us is the Alpha though.

I'm off kilter, and I know it. The only differences I'm guessing is you'll see pink elephants in your living room playing Dance Fever and keep it to yourself. I'll see the same pink elephants and tell everyone about that s*** @ 3am in the morning, sipping Snapple and wearing my wife's footies. I dont give a s***...

To be honest, I don't give a FK, that YOU don't give a FK.

You do realise we can both go all day so let's end it here.

Well that's just great. Just. Freaking. Great.

You had to go and jinx the game.

Everyone, mark this moment. In two weeks, when the game is delayed/cancelled at E3, blame Timmy.

If TLG is delayed Gavity Rush 2 will take it's place. If Horizon Zero Dawn is delayed Nier 2, Ni-Oh, GT Sport and Dreams BETA will it's place. Sony has back up for the back up.

That'd be great, but Rockstar never announces anything at E3, right?

GTA 4 was announced in the Xbox conference wasn't it? At this point I would be surprised to not see Red Dead at either the Sony or MS conference.

Was it? For some reason, I had it in my head that Rockstar never deigned to participate in E3. They were too good for that or something.

Peter Moore had a tattoo. You are right that they pretty much always skip it.

Dead Rising 4 Will be at E3 2016 and is Going to “Make Fans of the Series Very Happy”

Two days ago we reported that Dead Rising 4 is in development at Capcom Vancouver and may, or may not, have an exclusivity deal. Today, we can follow up on that news with the rumour that Dead Rising 4 will indeed feature at this year’s E3 and will “make fans of the series happy”.

Dead Rising 3 was released in 2013 as an Xbox One exclusive as well as a launch title. It was said to have sold very well, and a Dead Rising 4 was talked about not long after the release. It’s also likely that Capcom Vancouver is ditching the engine they built in favor of a partnership with Epic Games, meaning that the studio will be working exclusively with the Unreal Engine 4 from here on out.

The rumour comes from an insider on NeoGaf by the user name of Ekim who confirmed the development of Dead Rising 4 following another series of Xbox E3 leaks:

It remains unclear which conference the game will be featured in but it’s a safe bet that it would likely be the Xbox conference considering the exclusivity of Dead Rising 3 and some previous Dead Rising games on the Xbox platform.

Since the PS4 has somewhere around a 2:1 ratio install base over the Xbox One, it’s possible that the next entry might opt for a multiplatform release to not miss out on the PS4 user base. Alternatively, it could follow the likes of other games from Xbox and might go the route of a Xbox/Windows 10 exclusive title.

Oh yeah, I remember that tattoo now. That was a big get for the 360, back when they were stealing all those previously PS-exclusive franchises. Glory days for the 360.

The Last Guardian is coming out this year. You can relax.

It was. But that was a significant moment for both Xbox and GTA. Plus MS had a deal for DLC too.

It is probably safer to say that Rockstar will not be at E3. If Red Dead 2 is getting announced that it will be a Rockstar event.

Phil said Rise of the Tomb Raider was their last 3rd party exclusive IIRC.
