Played Cuphead at PAX too. Beautiful game, in motion it's every bit the looker its described to be, it literally looks as if your playing a cartoon from the '30s. It's freaking wickedly hard, I wish I had more time to try it.

When I first saw this I fell in love with the style and thought it would be a must buy. My problem is that I initially thought it would be a straight up platformer, the choice of making it an ultra hard boss fight only game has me probably not buying it. Though amazing I just feel it may not be for me.

I *think* they recently said they changed it to (or at least will give you the option) to play it more like a traditional platformer. I'm sure I read it somewhere, just not sure where.
I hope there's a release date at E3. Cuphead is my most anticipated indie game ever!
I think that they were maybe adding some platforming levels. This is probably why the game was pushed back. Maybe MS saw the potential and have them more money for some platform levels?
Anyway, hope there's more at E3.
Looks like Cuphead is going to launch at E3....like one of those things where they show a lot of it, then say 'it's available NOW'.

I was thinking $20 way back when it was announced. But with all this extra time and all the newly added features, I see it climbing. Similar thing happened with No Mans Sky. Many thought it was going to be $20 AFAIK, and now it is $60.
Game looks awesome. But I hate when commentators read from a script. Bleh!

I'm thinking $30 realistically, any higher and it prolly won't move the numbers it needs.
Unless they plan on doing a Rayman Origins-esque release, I'm guessing this will be in the $29.99 range tops, but $19.99 seems more like it.
I am going to split the difference and guess $24.99 on release. Review scores and word of mouth will keep it from being discounted for a bit.

Told you guys Microsoft threw money (and extra time) at the devs to add platforming levels.
They kind of showed this off already, obviously not like this, but there was footage where they fought bosses on foot. As for the gameplay, very Ghost n Goblins, but the level design reminds me of Rayman. A good mixture of ideas to take from, all with a cool and unique aesthetic for a game. Really looking forward to this one.
I think i'm in love. I'll pay whatever they charge for this game. Cuphead is like the definition of a breath of fresh air. Even though it's not really doing anything new it just has that look and feel. Day one, consider it done.
