When I first saw this I fell in love with the style and thought it would be a must buy. My problem is that I initially thought it would be a straight up platformer, the choice of making it an ultra hard boss fight only game has me probably not buying it. Though amazing I just feel it may not be for me. :(

I *think* they recently said they changed it to (or at least will give you the option) to play it more like a traditional platformer. I'm sure I read it somewhere, just not sure where.

Game is hard as f***! Played it last summer.

I can't decide if I want it. I love watching people play it because it's just amazing, but I'd be playing it single player and it's just so hard it might not be that fun for long.

I think that they were maybe adding some platforming levels. This is probably why the game was pushed back. Maybe MS saw the potential and have them more money for some platform levels?

Anyway, hope there's more at E3.

Looks like Cuphead is going to launch at E3....like one of those things where they show a lot of it, then say 'it's available NOW'.

Still a rumor at this point, but I've heard it from several places, and it makes sense as to why we haven't heard more about it recently.

This better be true.

Any predictions as far as sales? Will it be priced at $39.99 or $59.99? Will they decide to go with retail packaging as well as digital distribution?

Agreed. I was thinking this would be $20.
I was thinking $20 way back when it was announced. But with all this extra time and all the newly added features, I see it climbing. Similar thing happened with No Mans Sky. Many thought it was going to be $20 AFAIK, and now it is $60.

I'm thinking $30 realistically, any higher and it prolly won't move the numbers it needs.

What was Ori at launch? I think it was 20, right?
I expect the same price, especially considering hype well Ori did.

I am going to split the difference and guess $24.99 on release. Review scores and word of mouth will keep it from being discounted for a bit.

Unlike Ori, you have the whole online coop component with servers to maintain.

They kind of showed this off already, obviously not like this, but there was footage where they fought bosses on foot. As for the gameplay, very Ghost n Goblins, but the level design reminds me of Rayman. A good mixture of ideas to take from, all with a cool and unique aesthetic for a game. Really looking forward to this one.

Told you guys Microsoft threw money (and extra time) at the devs to add platforming levels.

I think i'm in love. I'll pay whatever they charge for this game. Cuphead is like the definition of a breath of fresh air. Even though it's not really doing anything new it just has that look and feel. Day one, consider it done.
