The reviews are going up 8 days before it comes out. That is usually a good sign.

That is great news. I pre-ordered the game on PSN because I just knew it was gonna be good. I hadn't researched it enough though, and I didn't realize it doesn't have multiplayer/coop, but it doesn't look like there would be any good way to incorporate that into the game.
Too bad I am on a cruise when it comes out. It will be on my HDD when I get home though!

Everytime I see Horizon it blows me away.
Glad to hear this. The graphics and elements stolen from Far Cry 3 / Assassin's Creed look great, but I've sorta lost trust in them because of Shadowfall.

Correctiom you flipped out and 2. I don' mind people comparing some elemts to Far Cry but trying to low key downplay Horzizonan as a clone is something I disagree with.
You lost trust in Guerilla because of a rushed launch title? lol

The Engadget review sounded horrible. They didn't even detail game play review. It sounded like the chick was having a virtual orgasm for Aloy and wanted to touch her taint.
That said I watched the stream the other day. Game will be sick.
I'm not sure how that makes the actual game horrible. They seemed to love it, while not being open world fans.
I showed a buddy of mine some videos of this when he was over at my place last weekend and he bought a PS4 on the way home! Lol
Doesn't detract from the point that the game looks to be incredible, whether reviewer can pleasantly convey it or not.
I don't think he was trying at all. That review was pure garbage. And that is in no way a reflection on this game because the game looks spectacular.
I get that, but the opinion was positive, his ability to convey might have sucked.
He is a she, not that it matters though the review made it sound like it did. The review really didn't describe the game as much as the writer's experience to turn a genre she disliked into one she now "gets". It strayed from the normal review which checks off all the elements of common game reviews - gameplay, graphics, multiplayer, sound, etc. though she did weave some into her "tale". Actually it was more of a tale than a review.
And that's why I actually give the review a pass, it wasn't a typical review, more like a love letter from someone who doesn't like those types of games, which is exciting. I'm sick of them myself overall as of late. Basically, you can discern by this that we will hear more of the same in scores and further detail.
I never once argued that. I said the reviewer was a raging lesbian that had a hardon for Aloy and barely mentioned a word about gameplay.
Why so defensive? You act like I want the game to do bad. On the contrary I bought and I have a raging hardon for the game. I just thought the Engadget review sucked.
