EA Access on Xbox One.

Dead Space also added

Very nice! That is a game I thoroughly enjoyed when it came out and it has been long enough now that a 2nd playthrough would almost be like playing a new game...I think. I can't recall too much about it but the other day I started replaying the remastered version of Resident Evil and I remembered everything like it was yesterday. Maybe that game is an exception because of the incredible impact it had back then.

Is it just me or did EA Access kinda fizzle out? Almost 2 years and there are 20 games. I don't have it, so maybe that number is a good number?

Not really. Only EA games can go in there after all. So it's catalogue was always going to be small.

That makes sense. I never really thought of it that way. I noticed on the Wiki that the Xbox One has more EA titles in it than EA's Origin service.

Yeah. The variety of titles is small though. FIFA, madden, need for speed, golf etc are all the common ones. But PvZ 2 will be there this year and any Star Wars games and battlefield that eventually come along.

Games = 21

Sports = 12 (two 2014, four 2015, four 2016, + golf and UFC which are one-offs)
Shooters = 4
Puzzle = 2
RPG = 1
Action = 1
Racer = 1

If someone wanted to ignore the 2014/2015 sports (8 total), that leaves 13 unique games.

Each year, EA adds about 10 games.

All for $30/yr. There is no better deal out there. All depends if someone is a sports/shooter fan, and if they can wait 9 months for a game to hit the vault or if they have to have it right away. If you can wait it out, someone who doesn't play a lot of games can literally live off a good selections of games for $30/yr.

Add in XBL Gold for MP and Games with Gold, and for a grand total of about $100/yr, they get EA Access and Games with Gold.

BC titles will also be added as they become available plus you get discounts and early access

It's hard to keep up with a killer offer like EA Access. It was bound to slow down eventually. I think it's more than worth it.

Not sure what people were expecting. As it is right now, EA Access has pretty much every EA game released this generation. Kind of hard to say it has fizzled out when it is doing exactly what it said it would.

I wonder if Star Wars BF will ever come to EA Access. Licensed sports games all have no problem.

Given the usual timing of games going to the vault, in a few months it should be that time.

It seems like a great deal, but I worry that you can't play NHL'16 without having finished NHL'14 and NHL'15.

I'm sure there would be lots of character and plot developments that are integral to the stories progression.

There's no issue there. Kind of like the FF series, each new version is its own self-contained world, although some of them may spin off sequels. The main difference is that the NHL series' story is actually believable.

Typical. The day after 1 month trial ends they throw on two games I would like to play :smash:

Just buy another month when the games are available. I think it's only a fiver. I don't think I'll be renewing my access after it runs out. They changed battlefield so it only gave one single player mission and they excluded titanfall. That's not the deal I signed up for.

Titanfalls inclusion isn't up to EA, it is up Respawn. Although I certainly understand why somebody might be annoyed by its no show.

I get why they limit single player though. I mean they can;t let you play too much of a 6-8 hour campaign on a 10 hour trial.

As for renewing, eh. I will pick up Mirrors Edge on PC to use on my new GPU and pick up UFC 2 at a quiet time next year.

Never played the Mass Effect games so I've just downloaded all three through EA Access :bang:

This service is such a great value. Especially if you have any moderate interest in sports games or shooters. The long trials alone are worth the price.
