There are weapons. Not sure if they are just reskinned or not, but they are there. You have to watch as the community is going full on salt mode right now.

Do you have a source on the no light level increase? That seems very odd too. If anything, Bungie has made it super easy to level up.
Just listened to fireteam chat ign not the entire episode and they mentioned the no light level increase. Only heard about gear but no weapons.

I wonder who makes the decisions to go against the grain with what diehard fans love about the game? Just throw out all the data they digest on a weekly basis and f#$@ with s*** to piss fans off? What is the feeble excuse for the bonehead changes? "To grow the fanbase?" It is already an extremely popular series don't mess with success.

Now, the weapons might just be reskins though as they have not released them...

They also said there would be milestones for IB which is a super easy way to level up.

I mean, I just leveled up a point doing 3 challenges in the EDZ. People can criticize a ton about this game, but slow leveling is not one of them.

IDK the milestones maybe ok for everything else but for IB what keeps me grinding on it after I finish the milestones Wednesday night? There has to be that carrot dangling with higher light lvl that may drop after any given match or I'll spend the time elsewhere. Like with my kids on my device...

I'm not defending the game or telling you how to feel about it, just saying that there are weapons. I'm going to wait and see how it is after I actually play it. Play it if it is fun and if it isn't... do something else. That's my plan with the game.

no worries it isn't your fault unless you work for bungie and thought this was a great idea....

I hope there are weapons even reskins ones but since they removed grinding for a God perk roll on weapons and now increasing your light lvl from drops then why continue with IB after the milestone and gear? I used to play IB exclusively for the entire week hoping to get gear drops higher then what I have equipped and some great rolls on weapons. The weekly bounties I'd turn in by no later then Friday night and I'd keep grinding until Monday for better loot. You grind for a payout and if there isn't one bungie thinks folks will grind fun of no payout?

New rework of an old crucible map (Shores of Time) released today with Iron Banner.

I want those Iron Banner armor sets.

Played Iron Banana on PS4 and you guys didn't miss anything. I played two rounds where teams of randoms just camped one flag to lose and pad their stats. They didn't seem to care that winning gives you much better rewards.

The whole scout camp meta just gets old in a hurry. I don't know what they can even do to fix it because scouts aren't even the problem. It isn't even a problem with weapons. The game just gives a huge advantage to the group that stays camped together.

"Much better rewards" ? Hardley...you get 2 more tokens.

Seems like a Playstation issue. In the 15 matches I played only one team tried camping and they got wrecked, hard.

I loled at the Iron Banner seasonal reward, though. They had an opportunity here to do something cool aanf unique but nope, in typical lazy Bungie fashiion they give a crappy emblem.

Its a 4vs4 issue

It really is the movement speed. There's weapons that are deadly up close like the Lincoln Green. However you have to get in closer range to use them. In D1, if you camped you got wrecked because someone would be on you in a second. Scouts in D1 were fine because you could more easily move inside their range.

Now, how do you get up close to a group of 2 or more people camping with radar enabled? The only way to do it is with a 4 man team with tight coordination. It can be done with 2 people trading off long range shots while 2 others flank. Even then you are relying on the other team sort of ignoring their radar.

Now in control, 4 randos running around without mics are going to get crushed by a coordinated team unless the skill gap is really huge.

I think he meant you have a higher chance of end of match Crucible awards if you win. And more tokens is a good thing if you're like me and really want the Iron Banner armor sets that look so damn awesome. I don't care if I have the infusion materials or not I'll be wearing that armor as soon as I get it. My power level will go down but I'll be well dressed. :hehe:

This game is awesome. It just needs some tweaking to keep the grind fun. I wouldn't be surprised if a Heroic Strike playlist is in the works. It just makes sense and I'd really like a reason to grind strikes but I need something to chase after. I'm surprised there isn't strike specific armor/weps like D1 had.

yeah its a playstation thing

So your response to that is to blurt out illogical nonsense? It isn't a 4v4 thing. People camped in D1. People camp in COD. People camp in BF.

I didn't say it was a PS thing. I said it seems like a PS thing. From all my crucible matches on X1 i haven't encountered this scout camp meta. That isn't to say people never camp with a scout, only that type of player is seen infrequently in my experience....certainly not enough to label it a meta.

Yeah I'm just making up the scout meta thing :)

Range rules the meta. Only reason people move is if game mode forces them to (Supremacy/Control).

Needs more than tweaking.

It needs a massive flood of content.
The loot system is boring as f*** and needs reverting.
The weapon roll system needs a huge overhaul.
The heroic public events need a big difficulty increase.
Strikes need to be made relevant.
They need to do more with factions cause Faction Rally was dull.

What you actually said was "scout camp meta." Which isn't what your little pic shows. Nobody said scouts were not popular either.Nor did anybody state or imply you mde it up.

I totally but vaguely disagree.

(see how annoying that is?)

Go roll your eyes some more. Why not talk more about the Forza 7 AI for a game you have never played? Remember when that was a cardinal sin when I did it?

1. There is nothing vague about what I said.

2. You made a statement then half backtracked to try and make your overused and vey typical victim response. lol.

3. I have played Forza 7.

4. My commdnts are derived from watching the A.I in the action. Unlike your previous comment which you just took from reddit or somewhere and pretended it was your own opinion.

It is funny how yet again you have no valid retort and had to resort to a pointless and equally stupid tangent.

Right now there are two things that I find really annoying in this game. One is getting the same item over and over again. Just last night I got the same pulse rifle 3 times in the span of an hour. That should not happen. The other thing that needs fixing is where the enemy spawns during a multiplayer match. I spawn and head on over in one direction and then get killed from behind. There was no way for them to flank, the game just spawned them behind my team. And as it turns out after visiting this game's subreddit there are many who are experiencing these same issues. Hopefully Bungie tends to these things soon.

The spawns are terrible. Control really shows how bad they are. My team has 1 flag out of 3, so I spawn... nowhere near my team or the 1 flag we have.

I think we mostly agree but I can never tell. I literally have no clue what you argue about sometimes. I think your arguments have no point, and the point is just simply to disagree and amuse yourself.

I'm not going to get into a name calling war with you because I like random animated gifs better.

i think its also mainly map design
