Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse

Loving the look of this movie, the animation style is pretty unique and the combo of color and darkness is awesome.

What if this is movie is a testing ground for when all the Avengers actors want to move on? I mean how long can Robert Downey Jr. keep coming back to play Iron Man? Maybe MARVEL is preparing in case their live action stuff runs out of steam.

Actually, I kind of wish Ghost in the Shell could have like this with maybe rotoscoped actors with this animation style for backgrounds.

This is a Sony film, not Marvel. I’m pretty sure Downey is done with IM after next years Avengers movie.

oh weird, I didn't think other companies could do Spiderman.

Oh well I expect Iron Man and most original Avengers to be killed off.

Yeah Sony has owned the film rights to Spider-Man for years, they finally teamed with Marvel starting with CA Civil War to bring Spidey to the MCU. Same with Fox having the film rights to X-Men and Fantastic 4, that’s why those characters aren’t in the MCU.

is this sort of like the rights being tied up for The Hulk?

Yep, hence the three piece story arch for hulk starting with ragnarok and ending with avengers 4(3.5?)....but really the can’t touch anything silverscreen related. Marvel can do whatever they want if it’s animated, video games or comics/etc.

what if they did a Roger Rabbit thing mixing live action and cartoon superheroes? Lol

I saw one of the IGN writers on twitter complaining about the animation looking rough in the trailer, clearly he didn't get that it was an artistic choice, of course he also said that the last jedi was one of the best star wars movies so WTF does he know? lol. The animation style in this movie reminds me of the way old animations worked when it was just a bunch of pages being turned quickly, I really like it a lot.

It may come as a surprise to some people, but I watch anything spider-man related.
