What a weird show.

A small handful of breathtakingly gorgeous games, mixed with live performers and pointless commentary.

What are Sony fans most happy about?

I thought their game trailers/demos were fantastic. The rest was pretty weird, but each one of those trailers got me interested in their games way more. I'm the guy who says I'm not big into story SP games, but those make me want to play. I have to finish Last of Us just so I can play the 2nd one now.

Ghosts of Tsushima wasn't even on my radar before, but now it has my interest.

Yeah their 1st party content was the best of any of the hardware makers but their early presentation style really missed the mark. Nothing MS or Nintendo showed touches what Sony had on stage. Sony's show made a case for why you should own a PlayStation, MS's show just seemed more like an infomercial for gaming in general and Nintendo seems like it's doing the same thing over and over again to me but I'm sure their fans don't mind one bit.

In fairness. Until it comes out i'm a tiny bit skeptical. However, its not a good look for another dev to call out another dev's demo because at some point everyone does some smoke and mirrors.

If that is how good the animation is in TLoU 2 then ND is taking animation to a whole new level. The subtle things in the animation were sick.

If anyone can do that with animation it's ND.

Looks like someone at Eidos is a bit salty.

That dude in the white pants looks imminently punch-able- Reminds me waay too much of David Hogg, lol. That's some Miami-Vice-level jacket sleeve rolling.

I'd love to see a dev diary of their animation tech like they did with Uncharted.

Naughty Dog make great games but they are all punch-able people, i would not want to hang out with them

Yeah no way a mainline franchise game like that is ever going to be exclusive again and it shouldn't be, it's good that everyone who wants to will have a chance to play it.

...and that it’ll be demonstrably best on Xbox One X.

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure the scene where Ellie was thrown over the counter was scripted.

Oldschool Rainbow Six style tactical 4v4 in VR.

Can't wait for this one. I tried playing Rainbow Six Seige after Farpoint VR, shooting just feels like a huge step back with a controller and a TV. Leaning around corners, blind firing just works like it should.

Yeah... I'm going to put my neck out on the line, and you can quote me on this, but portions of the video were bulls*** in regards to animation.

I think the video was 'best case' animation for the video. I believe that it was all real, and it will all be in the game. But I doubt the entire gameplay experience will be reflective of that video.

I'm not entirely buying what was sold... i only just finished Uncharted 3, but... It... I just...

Le sigh.

If you hit X to win, I can entirely see that gameplay being realistic. The AI was amazeballs in some ways (and f***ing stupid in others. 4 people follow one girl into a single room and can't find/hear her) .

Anywho, at the end of the day, it's a game. I'll chose a game that is fun with clipping and intuitive animation than a rigid one.

Some of it was likely scripted in spots, like that person being there right when she picked up the bottle but the game was announced a year and a half ago and went into production before that. This all being true gameplay is not far fetched at all, ND has said they reworked their animation set up and it was already best in class as it was.

Changed my vote to a C. This really was not a good conference, outside the games.
