The Wrestling Topic

My internet doesn't allow me access to NXT, but all I've ever read about it is how good it is. Then they bring these people up and they're boring as hell. WWE needs some competition again to put an end to this constant mediocrity. I always speed through the DVR watching bits and pieces because it's so boring and repetitive now.

NXT is great MUCH better than the 2 big shows.

They flop on the big shows because they don't use them the same/water them down.

NXT needs 2 be 2hours.

So now they are pushing Lashley? I don't get it, yeah the guy looks great but has zero personality and his ring work is well below that of Reigns. They should be pushing Rollins, Elias and Strowman more towards the title.
Was really hoping that Rollins was going to win that triple threat on Monday. Only one that's fairly believable in beating Lesnar right now honestly. I guess he's gonna start fueding with Mcintyre.

He had a really good run in Impact where his personality and in-ring performances really improved. That's a big reason why he was signed, but WWE has been feeding him lines, when his improvement came from less management. It should also be noted that he's pretty successful as a MMA without being in UFC and was being guys in Bellator while being a world champion in Impact. So they might see him as a perfect guy to take on Lesnar.

I get that on paper he looks like the right guy to beat Brock but people just don't give a crap about him, he got a pop when he first came back as all guys do but people became indifferent to him pretty fast. HIs matches have been sub par so far IMO, he doesn't sell well and his move execution is sloppy and at times looks dangerous.

It depends, I'd argue that's because his matches and feuds were the fault of bad booking. People seemed to enjoy his match with Reigns, and I think as time goes on, he'll be seen in a better light.

They liked the friction with Reigns but when they had their own match the people didn't seem to give a crap about either one. I still don't get the Reigns hate, he's a better in ring performer than most of the people on the roster yet he gets that "he can't wrestle" crap thrown at him all the time. I know some of it is jealousy but it seems like a lot of that is also just sheep trying to fit in.

I agree with you there. Very good talent. Although I wish they moved him on from the Shield gimmick.

Yeah he needs new music and ring attire for sure, hell I wish he'd cut his hair too but I know that's something he's not likely to do any time soon lol.

Another guy who I don't think gets enough credit is TJP, he is one of the best cruiserweights and while most of them don't get any real reaction by the crowd he's almost completely ignored. His style is far more old school compared to the others, his moves mostly look realistic vs idiotic things like sunset flip piledrivers or the Spanish fly which take far too much obvious cooperation from the "opponent" I know he's a bit dry on the microphone but he still gives better promos than the other 205 live guys and I think he deserves more of a push than he's gotten since they took the title away from him.

I forgot all about those cruiserweight people. Do they still show their matches occasionally on RAW? I usually 60x DVR speed my way through the shows now and maybe I just don't see them or something. I usually only stop to watch Rollins/Reigns or the lady matches these days.

Not sure if this is true or not, but I remember hearing that he once wore black and white shoes. White being on the bottom. Supposedly, management put a stop to this. WWE has sort of become famous for being ultra controlling of main roster talent.

Yeah they got pissed at Rusev when he first cut his hair, something he had been needing to do since he debuted on the main roster. The guy looks way better with short hair, I don't know why they keep wanting their talent to have 80's metal band hair but they need to get over it lol.

Slammiversary was soooo f***ing good. Hot crowd, insane matches (Pentagon vs Sami f***ing delivered), and a class main event following two brutal hardcore matches.

Roman continues to be shoved down our throats.... Network Subscription cancelled they can keep that bs.
Just turn off the network before the match? Either way the boos are going to be so loud at Barclay's that it'll almost be worth watching.

Just get the title off Brock please, let's move on. Reigns is a good wrestler and it'll be interesting to see where they go with this at least.

Its a couple years of Roman can't wrestle Reigns being pushed that led to this.

Rather the barely around Brock but it should be the more qualified Bobby.

I'll stop paying and watch it for free.

Really disagree that he can't wrestle, but okay. It's his character that sucks, the fact that he can't lose (Samoa Joe match for example if you want the worst of it), and the fact that Vince won't give up until he's over (and he never will be).

Bobby Lashley is alright, not great, but I was interested in seeing a match between him and Brock. His moveset isn't as varied though so it'd probably just be a match of suplexes against each other. Honestly wasn't interested in either of these options as I thought Seth Rollins is so on fire right now that he should get a chance. I mean hell he's like the only one who can consistently beat Roman anyway, keep that trope going.

Bobby moveset is better than Romans.
Before the boos i been pointing out how bad he is.. Every time they give it 2 him it shows how outa touch Vinny Mac is.

Brian Lawler, Nikolai Volkoff and Brickhouse Brown all passed away on Sunday aged 46, 70 and 57 respectively.

Brian Christopher's was tragic. Hung himself in jail after another DUI arrest. Didn't die at the scene, went to the hospital and was alive long enough for Jerry Lawler to say goodbye.

So ready for this. I might go to the Starrcast event even.

I haven't watched wrestling since WCW folded. But I've been watching videos of the old school guys talking about the business and all the dirt.

All the guys you thought would be dicks pretty much are or were.
