Was going to get Bound in Blood but then remembered I own Gunslinger. Not sure there is a point in owning both.
Loved the first one, don't remember playing the sequel (though looking at my achievement history, I did). Don't know if game holds up.
Correct, I'm guessing story was meh, that's usually why I forget games.I guess it didn't really make a good impression if you can't remember playing it
Guessing bc will matter next gen

Because they've played and talked about them already. I'm playing through Gears 3 now in 4k (after playing through 2). I jump into old games all the time (like Alan Wake and Blue Dragon), and it's an awesome feature that restores games I already own. The only real problem is not having many of them digitally. The PS4/XBox One have more GAAS than the prior gen so...yes it will matter more.
I mean, look at this very thread. This is a great sample of people who "care" about BC, and yet 42 pages in, no one's actually talking about the last gen games they're playing. It's pretty telling

Your selling your self short.I'm sure there are a few people, like yourself, that appreciate the feature. I just think the importance has been overblown by XBox fans who feel sorry about the state of the XBox One this generation. I mean, there's a reason why Microsoft has never given us relavent statistics on the matter. It's because they don't look good.

I played through both Gears 2 and 3 once they got enhanced and both hold up extremely well. I’m currently going through Splinter Cell on back compat since I skipped them last gen. Alan Wake’s DLC and Vanquish are on my upcoming to-do list.
Thing I’ve learned is last gen holds up extremely well. Especially when they get enhanced. For people who like single player, story driven games, some of these games really stand out more now than they did even a couple years ago.
Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey have intrigued me forever.
You could say that about any feature or franchise. If backwards compatibility was a niche thing, I don’t think Microsoft would continue to tout it or keep investing in it. Makes no sense to dilute resources towards something that doesn’t matter.
No, no you couldn't. There's tons of features that actually matter to a large percentage of gamers. I just don't think BC specifically is one of them. Also...
We don't know how many resources Microsoft is "diverting" to BC and we don't know the marketing effect the feature has on the buying public. I've long said it's a feature a lot of people think they're interested in until they boot up that old game, play it for 5 minutes, and then go "No thanks". There's simply too many new games to play today.
If Microsoft was proud of the data, they'd be sharing it. They're not.
If old games didn’t matter, Remasters wouldn’t be so prevalent. Most Remasters aren’t major upgrades to the original games.
Old games are mattering more as time passes, not less. Crash sales are a great example. Sales of the early CODs show that as well.
If old games didn’t matter, we wouldn’t see Nintendo and PlayStation mini’s.
If old games didn’t matter, Sony wouldn’t have just established a BC patent.
If you want evidence, follow the money. Corporations aren’t into goodwill for free.
What evidence is there that people are saying “no thanks” after 5 minutes? Most last gen games hold up rather well especially when enhanced. I think last gen’s game design is better in most single player games. The previous generations games were more contained and were carried more by gameplay.

So in a nutshell, you're saying that Microsoft incorporating backwards compatibility this gen was a mistake?3. You fail to realize that BC is indeed going to matter more and more as time marches on. GAAS didn't really exist on the 360/PS3. Certainly not as much as it does today. Microsoft just jumped on a generation too early.
So in a nutshell, you're saying that Microsoft incorporating backwards compatibility this gen was a mistake?
you have said this already can you stop saying this. I get it that Xbox is not your thing. To continue to troll will get you into trouble.No. I just don't think it moves the needle for the vast majority of gamers out there.

So please if there is nothing else to say just stop coming over.
Got any numbers to back that up?. It's your opinion and is probably backed up by your experiences and that of your friends. Just because it's not important to the people you interact with doesn't mean its not important to a lot of people.No. I just don't think it moves the needle for the vast majority of gamers out there.
It is a good feature. Why is it so important that it move the metaphorical needle? Maybe not by itself, but in aggregate with other features, it is a great way to sweeten the pot.No. I just don't think it moves the needle for the vast majority of gamers out there.

Popularity seems to be a common thread in what you post. It feels like you need some kind of validation in your choices that most of us don't.
