By the way, I came across a body hanging in a tree down in the bayou and hopped of my horse to investigate. Three extremely fast and creepy dudes ambushed me. They knifed me faster than I could draw them down. It was a major WTF moment for me.
I just had that happen too. You run into them later. Creepy. Speaking of creepy or weird, have you ran into feral man?

It's gonna be hard not to be disappointed with future games for a long time after finishing this.

I wish you didn't have to rotate the right stick for fishing. I was really looking forward to it, but it gets really tiresome and seems to be a good way to destroy a controller pretty quickly.

Rockstar getting a percentage for controller sales next year.

That’s it no more mister nice guy. I’m done trying to keep my morality meter in the do-gooder side of things. I’m an outlaw in a gang of outlaws and I’m not a punk……. at least in videogames.

I get challenged to a duel and win and then loot the dude only to get negative karma points. Another dude runs from me looting other said dude only to trip and fall into a campfire setting him ablaze, I didn’t kill him but after looting him I get more evil points.

So the game is pushing me to be evil then evil I shall be. I’ve spared the local businesses and people but now its on and I’m going to rob everything. The dogs are the only thing that can say they are safe from my wrath.

Default walk speed is too slow and gators are mean as fck in this game. This game is so AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Finally got some quality time this weekend. Wow. I can spend all day just doing the hunting. So much to do, really enjoying it.

Spotted a woman being kidnapped on horseback, chased them down and gave her captor a beat down. While this was happening, the horse took off with her still tied to it and I spent the next 5 minutes chasing them all over hell's high acre. When I finally stopped them and cut her loose she cussed me out and ran off. So I did what any self respecting law abiding citizen would do... I pulled out my long barrel and put one in the back of her head as she fled over the distant hill.

Lol!! Yeah I’ve been taking a break from this game to play more AC Odyssey, but when I return I’ve been thinking of going this route as well. Being a do-gooder is annoying at times for sure.

I feel just horrible. Out in the plains there's a blind man asking for money so I gave him some and then turned around and shot him taking his "alms". I can't believe I did that. Oh well, I'm off to say three hail Mary's and then back to killing.

I don't know about that, it's the best open world game but I'd still put God of War above it so far, I haven't finish this though yet so we'll see. I'd put it top 3 for sure and I could still put it at the top of my list once I've finished it.

Obviously he meant on Xbox as he doesn't have a PS4/Switch so he hasn't played the other GOTG games. I'd put God of War, Breath of the Wild, and Mario Odyssey above RDR2.

But yeah, the game is amazing. I'm only about 10 hours in and i'm loving every minute of it. Not sure what the uproar was for the PS4 Pro version. It looks great. People need to cling on to anything they can though.

Funny how killing this guy didn't seem to upset anyone lol.

How silly you look.

There was an uproar?

This game is the ultimate escapism. I can spend forever exploring and riding around. Hunting, upgrading camp, etc. So beautiful with so many tiny details. I'm also glad they have the physics based control and animation- the world would not feel as real without it. I honestly have no problems controlling this game.

Just little things like if you run through a door you will make the NPCs jump, lol. Or lassoing a guys feet and watching them squirm as you pull them closer. Or the way they flinch when you shoot in the air, or how Arthur moves his head to avoid branches than an knock you off your horse. Orders of magnitude more meaningful in aggregate than the un-dynamic, nonphysical nature of AC games.

It's the little details. I went up to a guy on my horse who was hunting. He told me to stay quiet or I'll make his dinner run away. So I just sat there and watched him hunt. He walked a short distance away from and shot a fox. When he took the shot, my horse reacted to it. I just thought that was cool.

Couldn't agree more. There are so many tiny little things that add so much life to the game. Like yourself I can just wander around the world for hours on end hunting or just interacting with whatever random thing will happen near me.

It's a great game. Amazing sandbox single player game that takes a little while to settle in to the pace of it. But once you do you don't want to play anything else.

I'm sitting at 34% story mode and have so much I want to check out and try to do before even continuing with the story. Very immersive world and has played flawlessly for me so far and looks amazing on my old ass XB1 on my old ass 1080p TV.

Controls take time for sure, it's like GTA but there's more interaction going on which can cause problems for a lot of people I guess. I mean there is a learning curve for everyone but that seems pretty natural to me. I've only punched my horse twice so I'm doing ok.

It's nice to take a break from other games that are more instant gratification in comparison, this one is going to be played deeply for a very long time.

Both excited and nervous for the online portion, yet I have barely thought about it yet.

A must play game IMO (unless you are very busy all the time, this game requires a day off with no other responsibilities to get really into it)

Well for the past hour I've been unable to log into the game. It's stuck on the load screen. No wife, no kids, and a 12 pack of beer and the f***ing game will not load!

When people run into these kinds of problems it's usually recommend to clear the memory cache and do a complete shutdown and restart.
Hope you get it working.

Do you own it digitally? There was a problem with people being able to play digitally owned games on Xbox for a few hours tonight.

Shot for the hand and take away their guns
I've been trying to get the challenge to disarm x number of enemies and it's making me crazy, the enemies WILL NOT LET GO of their guns, I've used express rounds, high velocity, doens't matter, I cannot shoot the guns out of their hands, it has not worked for me....

You have to do it in Deadeye. I didn’t find it to hard.

I was also hit by whatever it was that prevented other Xbox players from playing their digitally purchased games. It really has me rethinking going digital. I tried moving over to play the DLC for Spiderman but I just couldn't get into it only because I couldn't get RDR2 out of my mind. I'm sure the Spidey dlc is great but when you're in the mood to play something else its hard to get into another game. I guess I should brace for difficulties around the upcoming holidays. Live is always iffy during that time.

I'm trying to complete my Eastwood "Man with No Name" look but I've been unable to find a poncho. I really hope there is a store or tailor that sells one. I haven't got into hunting, Stagecoach and/or Train robbery yet. I was worried about my honor but no more so I think its time to tackle some of the more naughty activities.

I don't think story missions affect honor outside of specific decisions.
