Anthem

Yeah, I see a ton of Warframe in there too.

I just don't like running down hallways and killing countless uninteresting enemies, which seems to be what this game is. Looks too much like a treadmill to me.

I'll pick it up if it gets a 94 or better on Metacritic, but I don't anticipate that happening.
So if I scores a 93, you won't buy it?

I would say try the open demo that comes out before it releases and see if you like it. If you don't like it, don't get it. If you do like it, get it. Not sure why you would let an arbitrary number on a website decide for you.

*I do understand why you would look more at reviews if one couldn't play the game before making a decision, but we'll get to play this before it releases so we can make our own desicions.

I didn't realize a demo was on it's way.

And actually, I've realized how stupid the critic thing is now. I can't count how many critically acclaimed games I've purchased only to realize they were duds.

I'll check out the demo for this game but I'll keep an eye on non honeymoon sales and gamer score too.

There's a demo for everyone...? or if you pre-ordered or something...? because I dont see a demo on consoles

My bad, I should have been clearer. I meant did anyone play the Anthem Alpha or whatever it was for a few days in Dec? I didn’t get in.

Game will be a blip in player base compared to fortnite.
Does that matter to me? No, I'd rather play Anthem at the moment even not knowing if it will suck or not.
Fortnite is a bit like HIV, if not cautious when entering unexplored territories, you might get sick.

I'm confused, but that happens, especially since I'm tired and drunk atm.
Energy with positive vibrations to you either way!
It’s ok. It goes back like 15 years or more with him.

Man, it just makes me think of Destiny... not sold from this,unfortunately...
I've heard this from a couple of people, and I'm notit sure I get the connection. I mean, I see the looter/shooter connection, but not much else.

1st person versus 3rd person. Actual flight in Iron man type suits. An actual open world and not just big sectors. More organic feeling. Has already shown just as much story as vanilla destiny. 4 player coop. Very vertical spaces. Etc.

I do understand why someone might not be feeling it, but I don't see it as having a destiny feel besides being inthe same genre.

From what I've seen, the mission structure and general encounters seem super similar. Go to beacon, get item, fight baddies with voice-over giving nonimpactul exposition over the top. Go back to hub to handle upgrades and vendor. Rinse-repeat.

Being the non one-of-a-kind, one-of-a-kind warrior. The fantasy Sci-Fi. Loot-shooter.

Gotcha. I can see what you're getting at now. It does seem to match that structure doesn't it. I do know that mission is one of the first ones in the game, but we haven't seen anything to different from that structure yet. Hopefully they will have more variety, but I won't hold my breath.

One thing I've learned this gen is whatever a publisher shows you a month or two before release is basically the whole game. They're selling this game hard and if they're not showing variety, there most likely won't be any.
