I broke down and bought Westworld S2 on bluray (don't have 4k tv yet)
How to put this...let's just say some shows I can't justify paying for the station living in Canada, because if I wanted lets say HBO I would also have to purchase Showtime which I don't want and my cable package is already too much, so let's just say those HBO shows have to be viewed another way, and HBO GO is not available in Canada (last I checked)
Long story short, I got a few letters ok? and had to halt my alternative method of watching HBO stuff, so I only got up to episode 4 in Westworld S2.
I see the BluRay in Walmart for an incredibly reasonable $39.99 CAD.
Is this a sign of things to come? Usually I try not to go for physical media because it's usually so overpriced. But that seemed very reasonable to me and I felt bad that I wasn't given the option to affordably watch Westworld where I live and resorted to the alternative method that I'm ashamed of. So I made it up to them by giving them some money (which I would do more if the prices/methods were more reasonable)
Usually BluRay seasons of popular shows are twice that price here.
Anyway, damn does physical HD media look and sound amazing. We're all doing so much streaming we forget how good uncompressed HD media looks. Absolutely stunning.
