$500 million divorce, Bungie and Activision to go their own ways...

Acti bet big for a 10 year plan and it hasn't worked out.

First impressions count and the first left a bad taste

Maybe they can get gobbled up by EA, so that they can finally have the creative freedom and resources to achieve their vision.

Just means they won't be forced to do the annual content release anymore.

True, but does Bungie have enough resources to keep the lights on while they take their time on content updates? I really wouldn't be surprised if Chinese company Tencent swooped in for another majority stake investment. They seem to be focused on taking over all of gaming.

Well now we'll see what they can do on their own, hopefully things improve and if they do end up having to sign with another publisher hopefully they can negotiate better terms otherwise they have nobody to blame but themselves.

I wonder what was the issue(s) that got them to want to get out of their contract with Activision a year early?

There's about a 90% chance that whatever they do won't be good.

Nothing to quote they already said something new is coming(READING IS FUNDAMENTAL)

Destiny is a huge ip and has made them the most money.
Keep thinking a sequel isn't coming lol

If their next game is a success, they'll support that IP with sequels. Destiny has way too much baggage to keep that IP going.

It will come i say.

Loser has to change there avatar to something the members here choose for 1 year.

Needs to be more specific.

You literally can't lose the way you tried to frame it as you could always say "It's still coming" long after Bungie moved on.

Can you do better?

We kinda can't time frame wise cause this could delay Destiny 3.
1-5 years is the best I can do.
Time frame isn't the point of the bet.
No game made them more/had more players then there Destiny franchise no way they are kicking it to the curb.
