RE 2 remake

I had to settle for a measly 10% off the Xbox version

Ign had to 're print their review after it was clear the reviewer hadn't actually played it properly

Game really looks amazing, I've played through re2 on ps1 numerous times and I'm sad to say the controls are too hard to go back to today, this seems like the best way to go back to raccoon city at the moment.

I seem to remember Barry dying in RE1. It’s been close to two decades since I’ve played these games. Most of the story is fuzzy.
I done some digging. Apparently, he could be dead in one of the scenaro, but the cannon endings is he is alive. On thee one I played (Jill), he was alive in RE1.

He made a returned, as dbled34 said in R.E. Revelations 2 as the protagonist, trying to saving his daughter, or along this line.

Not sure I ever played this back in the day. I remember the first one on PlayStation and some others on Xbox but I don’t RE2 was one.

This game is a challenge on Hardcore mode. More than half the time I am injured without any herbs/sprays and always low on ammo. Played about 8 hours and just had my first encounter with Mr. X. I am having a hard time losing him, so I am constantly being hunted. It's like Capcom took some ideas from Alien Isolation.

Is that big dude Mr. X? He's a pain in my ass right now.

Yup that's him. Watch out for the lickers too. When you encounter Mr. X, more lickers come out to play. So far I've died 3 times trying to reach a safety point to save my progress, but these damn lickers get me every time. I have no choice, but to run into them because Mr X is on my ass. It doesn't help that I am out of ammo and first aid.

Is the levels and story exactly the same as the original game? Or did they change some stuff up?

It's a lil different, but all very familiar. This is truly one of the best remakes of a game I've every played. Capcom has done a fantastic job. Couldn't be better imo.
