Played Xbox One and PS4 games and ... tickle fight!

Wat?! Loads of ppl on forums expected that after JackFrags' tweet suggested PS4's MP looked signficantly better than X1's SP. Stop making sweeping claims about things 'nobody ever did'.

Again, the PS4 version DOES look better....and runs better as well. That's pretty much generally accepted as being the case. No one said that it was vastly better on PS4, and certainly not Ketto. Ketto only used the term "vast", "vastly", etc when being sarcastic.

Sometimes people just want the best version of the games. That's why I went with the Xbox over PS2, Xbox 360 over PS3, and now the PS4 over the Xbox One. From reading your posts over the years, having the better versions of the games has always been important to you.
The best overall software. If I wanted to only buy the best multiplats I would have bought a 3DO or an Xbox OG. However, overall game library is important too and X1 has it right now. And it's OS is better too. I chose PS2 over Xbox OG because though Xbox had Halo, I thought PS2's game library had good games and as a whole a much bigger and better library. And unlike some people, DVD movies were never a draw because I already had a Panasonic DVD player I bought a year earlier. I only watched one movie on my PS2 (Payback ith Mel Gibson for sake of testing out the movie feature). Some favourite franchises nowhere to be found on Xbox OG were Twisted Metal and Ace Combat. And rght from the beginning, I was never a Halo fan to begin with as it's too bright and colourful for my tastes so Xbox's flagship game was more of a ho-hum affair. 360 had the best of both worlds. Tons of games, tons of secondary XBLA/indie games, and the best multiplats and good first party games too. Gears looked great and I always wanted to try out Forza.

You're quoting the same guy who claimed 4GB of GDDR5 is "more powerful" than 8-12GB of DDR3. Oh wait, nvm...nobody ever suggested PS4 was vastly more powerful for game graphics. I forgot that we all just imagined that!

Technically, 1080p is a bigger difference over 720p, and we are indeed seeing ps4 versions coming out better, but what that difference on screen translated to what we see is not vast as he claiming we said it would be.

Take bf4 as an example. No one ever expected bf4 to look vastly better on ps4 over xb1. That's just rediculus.

I expect a bigger difference this gen then the last gen(how can anyone argue 1080p vs 720p) but not a night and day difference.
Day and night isnt "vast" to you? Gimme a break Qbert. Now perhaps we have different definitions of "night and day" but when I read this quote by VaLL, "night and day" is put into a context of "vast" or superior. Wouldnt you agree?

Yet, this is precisely what is being touted because of resolution differences which in this case, isn't "vast", by a country mile. Perhaps some need to use proper wording instead of over blowing the minute differences between both consoles. Resolutions have never been an contributor to a better game. It does not increase the graphical fidelity. Resolutions are a means to an end. But to state that they lay claim or are superior versions of any one game because of pixels is, as you say, ridiculous.

If forum members like VaLL are stating that mere resolutions are a contribution to "night and day" or [power] differences on the XO or the PS4, what exactly were we "imagining" before any of us seen the side-by-side of BF4, or rampant fanboys screaming about the Ps4 being more powerful?

You're not honestly telling me that no one thought or said, that the PS4 would show itself as more powerful when concerning visual fidelity? Are you?

No, it isn't. Day and night means the difference is as obvious as the difference between day......and night.

Need you whip out a dictionary to get the definition of vast? BF4 on pc totally maxed out on 3 screens....is vastly better than BF3 on 360.
AS for laying claim that resolution makes a game superior, no, not if you're comparing pac man to BF4....but when all other assests are the same, yet the resolution is higher AND performance is better....then yeah, one is superior to the other. Higher resolution when everything else is the same....is not a minute difference.

Perhaps you need to comprehend proper wording.

Why don't ACTUALLY read what I posted instead of letting your hurt feelings(because PS4 IS more powerful) make you rush to reply okay?

f*** sakes! You mean the performance issues no one sees unless you have an agenda? That performance? Look. Im not stating that the Ps4 isnt powerful. It is. But the XO is equally powerful. Bottom line.

No, it isn't. That's where you live in some fantasy land. Everyone knew the PS4 was more wonderful, and some of you didn't want to believe. And now, here we are, and multipat games are proving it.

WHo cares if you don't see the performance being better on PS4. The FACT that BF4 on on PS4 run at a higher resolution AND better performance (regardless if you notice it), tells us that the PS4 is capable of running the game at higher settings WITHOUT compromising performance.

And it's not just BF4. We're seeing that with several games, even the MS precious CoD franchise is looking better on PS4. Even that one I would not have expected.

If XB1 is equally as powerful as PS4, then PS3 is equally as powerful as the 360.

snapping and tv? i'll just change the imput on my t.v and take the better graphics. LOL
For sure you will. PS4 will need every bit of power it can use to power their flagship game Killzone. A game that got mediocre scores. A similarly mediocre scoring game Ryse, no only looks better, but looks better at lower resolution, is made by a third party, and even had a train wreck dev cycle which 2 years ago was a Kinect game. Yet it still looks better than GG's best game Killzone. lol

PS3 provided games that weren't matched on the 360 and if they could of matched/surpassed them they would of after 8 years.

PS4 versions running higher resolutions with better performance is the nail in the coffin with this comical argument.

a 3rd party dev thats known for visuals
X1 maxed out at launch
animations that look worse than ninja gaiden from Xbox OG

killzone metacritic 74
Ryse 61

killzone is average ryse is just trash LOL

Same could be said about 360's exclusives. But for multiplats, it's a different story as the majority of them were better on 360, especially noticeable were Bioware games, Bethesda games, CoD and just about every multiplat game in the first 2-3 years. But even recently, where PS3 has had 7 years to get super aquainted with Cell and RSX, 360 multiplats are still better. BF4 is a good example.

For some games, PS4 has an edge, for some there is no difference. And for some (BF4) X1's game has run a bit better than PS4. Though DICE's game seems to be a mess across all platforms, PS4 is especially hit hard.

What is it according to Ketto 360 had the better gpu and was the more powerful system. As far as your opinion being comical you're correct. I've seen nothing ps3 did 360 didn't do years before it.

I couldn't disagree with this. At the same time, Crytek could make an amazing looking game on the PS4 too. Crytek is known for setting the benchmark in graphics. They did it on PC with Crysis 1 and then came Crysis 3, and they did it on consoles with Ryse.

Too bad Penguinpig. Like it or not, Ryse looks better than KZ despite Sony always hyping it up as the Sony game to get. It flopped. And as I said (which you ignored), Ryse was a Kinect game 2 years ago. They basically trashed it and had to start over for X1. So even with a rush job it still looks better than KZ.

PS3 showed the best graphics,The 360 showed the best versions of 3rd party games.

No doubt. I agree. Crytek does focus on graphics. Whether the gameplay stinks or not (playing Crysis 2 on 360 was painful at 25-30 fps, however many PC gamers say a good PC rig results in a great playing Crysis), people are talking visuals and at this time Ryse wins against any next gen game. Knack, KZ, the 10+ PS4 downloadable games, DR3, F5 etc.... all look worse than Ryse.

I say BF4 PS4 and KZ SF PS4 look better but that's my opinion
