I think I have a Windows 10 USB recovery that might work for this, but have questions about stuff I've done to this computer I want to undo.
It's an ASUS RoG gaming laptop:
System Model GL702VM
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2592 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
Name NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 ( kind of dated graphics )
Storage on SSD and Hard drive
A few years ago, I added a partition to the SSD and HDD to make room for Linux Mint and this also modified the boot sector. Basically, at boot a menu pops up and I select Windows or Linux.
I'm hoping a fresh install helps improve the system or declutters it. I want to undo my partitions because what I did made the Windows part of the SSD smaller so temp files start to fill it up.
I guess one of my main questions is if I wipe the drives, would the Windows installer fix the boot sector?
