It’s been on sale for said price a few times, I think below a hundredIf/when they ever drop to $100 for the 1TB models, that's when I'll acquire one.
Next time, or I’ll @ you tooYou could've called me and told me.
Not the worst, but bad, worse that they made an exclusive deal with only one third party and then only open it to a second…I think it’s been said that the internals are just those found on what was then a high end sd card used for video and photography. The og dvd dongle was a license thing passing on the rights to the consumer, but really at the expense of the dongle. Since it’s the “consumer” taking claim it’s free, like now when you or someone gets a new console and starts a new profile/setup they’d have to download the dvd/Blu-ray app, that’s also the reason why the logo isn’t on the unit…I could be wrong in some details tho. This has to be the worst idea from Microsoft to have us buy these freaking cards instead of having us use our storage.
This is just as dumb as that DVD crap back in the OG Xbox where you need to get that little senor and plug it into a controller port to watch movies on disc.
The whole reason for the DVD remote to play DVDs was that the purchase contained the license to play DVDs, that wasn't included with the price of the console outright. This has to be the worst idea from Microsoft to have us buy these freaking cards instead of having us use our storage.

The idea is fine. It is the lack of competition that makes it seem bad. This has to be the worst idea from Microsoft to have us buy these freaking cards instead of having us use our storage.
