Looking for two, or three, and hopefully more, eventually, news hounds for UnionVGF. As you may have noticed, there's been more front page action. In addition to original articles, there is more personal perspective news pieces rather than just moving an RSS thread. I want to make UnionVGF more personal and one of the ways I'm looking to to that is possibly having a few people to post the most important of the latest news.

What were looking for are people who are 100% self starters. You need to be able to write, obviously, and not have the need for someone to edit your pieces at all. The pieces need to be coherent and have structure. A complete grasp of grammar, punctuation and self editing are an absolute must. If it works out you'll have the ability to promote pieces to the front page yourself. Look at any of the recent news pieces I've done to get an idea of what we're looking for.

With gaming news, you have to be fast on the trigger and waiting for an editor to look over things will slow the news down. While video game news comes at breakneck speed, we're not looking for people who will just cut and past stuff. There has to be more substance to it. It doesn't have to be pages and pages. Look at my news pieces. They're not long, but, they're more personal than the standard generic news pieces put out by many of the bigger sites. Have a voice. The pieces do not always have to be about video games. The majority will, but, if there's something interesting that fits with the mold of the site, all the better.

Writing pieces will obviously get you more exposure if you're someone who's looking into a journalist career. Since almost all of us are gamers here, you'll most likely be able to get into E3. The more you write, the better your chances are. E3 does look at submitted content and they will immediately reject copy and paste "authors."

If you're interested, shoot me a PM and we'll discuss.

I'd like to, but I'm terribly lazy and unreliable.

Like a podcast/talk show thing?

There are a lot of options. Lots of YouTubers are just doing 'Let's Play' videos and some are getting views. I'm sure there will be many more Let's Play Star Wars: Battlefront videos.

Some people are simply reactors. Quite a few of them did Reaction videos to the Mortal Kombat X Fatalities or any horror games.

This Let's Play is really basic, but he's good with Erron Black and it has a lot of views.

What if UNION had some YouTubers on a Channel? That would add in a lot of content and maybe even help pay for the site.
That would be interesting. I already have a channel but nothing's on it. I had thought about doing captures but don't have the gear for it.

I barely play video games any more but I have a solid grasp of the English language and am a total pedant at heart. I hate to see poor grammar and punctuation. I really hate it actually. In fact, I could probably write a self-edited article on just that subject.

Glad I could be of assistance.

You missed two commas.

I would like to get in to Twitch broadcasting, I think it would be fun. I don't think I could be interesting enough though.

I've an article in mind, but it might be too political and scandalous...

"What your nail polish says about you, Slut."
