Sony XBR-65/75Z9D Forbes TV Of The Year

Daredevil in 4K on Netflix is in Dolby Vision, it is beautiful on my OLED. Can't wait for the 1st 4K blus in DV.

So since my Sammy doesn't do DV does that mean I don't get HDR effects? I'm sure it would still play in 4K, just not as pretty? Or does the movie also support HDR10 or other versions of HDR?

I think it's just 4K if your TV doesn't do DV.

I finally saw the Z9D in person, BEAUTIFUL picture lol, even half way across the store it still looked bright and clean while the other sets were looking faded and darker. Anyone have $6K I can take from you and never pay back? lol

wtf pricing. I'm guessing the 850E doesn't have FALD? I fail to see what has been improved over the current 850D then which costs $900 less. 900E would be nice for FALD but lol price. Can't afford that s***.

I upgraded to the 4K plan and tried The Stranger Things. AMAZING!!! I wish there was more 4K contents though. Any other 4K streaming services that is good? I have HBO NOW but it doesn't have movies/shows in 4K.

Plus tax and $1500 for warranty...
I got it,shipping and warranty for just under $8000

You bought it, huh? Enjoy. I didn't watch the video, but it must be quite the TV.

Wow nice, I've been reading that it has a bit of blur compared to other sets. Do you notice that at all?

Saw the Sony A1 OLED TV display model at Bestbuy last week and read the price tag for 65 inch :(

The guy who wrote that at rtings has been called out for his questionable findings in his review and he actually showed up and posted in the thread(which is pretty decent) with the conclusions being....
-Some 65 inch sets are different than others and the 75 inch seems much different.
-Him supposedly going to try different members settings and retesting.
-Most not finding the same results that he found.

All TV's using the X1 Extreme chip have incredible motion ie better than other sets on the market.
No I don't notice anything like that and if I did...the good thing about the set is I can adjust it with BFI to remove any blur and If I noticed any banding I can use the TV's 14 bit color processing(Smooth gradation mode) to eliminate it.

The TV is amazing

Glad to hear it, I thought maybe it had something to do with the lighting set up. That's still the best looking set I've seen in a store. OLED's look great but can't compare to the brightness that set puts out and of course the image retention thing still turns me off of those sets.
