Yeah you have to get half way into it before you enjoy it. It's the truth, and it's a shame, but that is how it is.
Why $10? Sony had a flash sale on Killzone Shadow Fall (last month) and the Order 1886 (3 months ago) for $5 each. I see these games for free on PS+ this year.
I thought 2 was the best for me. The pacing, difficulty, puzzles, levels, and everything else were just awesome and fun to play. In 3, the story pretty much drags a lot, barely any puzzles in the game, too freaking easy to play on normal difficulty, and was a hella short game.
I thought it was paced perfectly and had a perfect length as well. They also really refined the melee combat in that iteration.
In 2, at some point I got so tired of shooting the same cloned enemies. Just wave after wave after wave. I think 2 just had too much shooting for my liking.
Imagine my disgust when I got drafted by the Pirates in The Show 17. Oh well. Will win a billion World Series titles there as revenge.
Yeah, I completely missed it. My friend was good enough to tell me about it after it was over, though.

Finally got the Uncharted collection myself. Was waiting for it to be just about free and the sale was close enough! Uncharted 3 is awesome by the way.
That wasn't the issue. It came up good when I did a search, but that is the only way to access this game on PSN. All other methods do not work. PSN kills game discovery. It goes from Dark Cloud 2 to The Darkest Dungeon. I even have a screenshot. But anyways, thanks. I got the game now. But even after that, it took forever just trying to get it to download. I could not access it from my games library. Everything else loads fine, but when I try to that particular game in my library, it just loads indefinitely with a 50 mb connection. I had to go back to the PSN store just to get to the "download" button. PSN is broken.
I don't use psn much, so idk about much of what you're talking about. The few games I've ever bought was accessing their site from a PC, then clicking on the download list or whatever and queuing it to download when I connect my console online.
I've done searches directly on their site and get lots of random and unrelated stuff...same happens on the Xbox marketplace for me.

Glad I didn't buy Abzu when it was on sale a while back. Looks pretty cool though think I would rather have Alienation.
Not a bad month at all. Looking forward to Abzu and don't have Tales of the Borderlands either.
I almost bought Abzu when it was on sale too. Figured I'd never get a chance to play it. Glad I got it for free now (and still no time to play) 
Yea Gravity Rush Remastered is on the list. Also looking at the Darksiders pack although don't think that is part of Golden Week and just its own sale.
A couple of indies worth considering. Both console exclusives (unless Dreamfall is coming to Switch).
What Remains of Edith Finch - "walking sim," but getting high marks. Dark tone, supposedly very engaging. From the folks who brought us The Unfinished Swan. $20. I am going to hold off because I've heard the PS4 version has some minor (?) technical issues, and I'll wait for them to get fixed, first. But I liked Giant Sparrow's first game a lot, and this one is very well received, so I'll play it eventually. Too much else to play right now, so it'll have to wait.
Dreamfall: Chapters - episodic adventure game released on PC, the third in the Dreamfall series. It has gotten very mixed reviews, so beware. Unless you're a fan of the earlier games, you'd better give it a pass. I really liked the second Dreamfall game (Longest Journey), so I'll take the plunge eventually. Not sure of the price, but I'd guess $20 to $30.

What Remains of Edith Finch looks cool but i'm still coming out of the coma Everybody's Gone to the Rapture put me in. Can only handle a walking sim once in a blue moon.
Think I got The Order for $5 or $10 a while back. I enjoyed the game and didn't find any major flaws with it. Haven't played Journey since PS3 but it was great.
Ha ha, I hear you. I found the pace of that game really slow. There were some visually striking scenes near the end that I liked, because they gave me that "sense of wonder" you don't find in games too often. The rest of the game was a slog, though, especially with that slow movement speed. And the lifeless environments... That bugs me about the walking sims -- why is everyone always dead and gone? I think I used a guide just so I could plow through it.
I still use that theme on my PS4, though. Love the ambiance of that music.
