If this were shown at E3, it likely would've been one of my top highlights of the show. This is an awesome way to do DLC.
My 8 year old son might literaly crap his pants for the first time in years when he sees this. Anybody who has anything bad to say about this hates fun.
Next expansion.. Pure fun
Meh. Looks stupid. It doesn't fit withe world and they chose the worst place they could. Not to mention it looks like a Trackmania rip off.
I for one will be passing on this.
That is seriously awesome!Most genius expansion ever. Nobody saw this comming, on the other hand everybody knows Hot Wheels. Many hours of pure fun awaits.

That. Is... Amazing! Nice to see a Dev remember that these are, in fact, video games! This may just be the first Expansion I ever bought (outside of the Witcher 3 DLC for obvious reasons!).

Kinda wish they had kept this for E3. Would've been an awesome short trailer. Either way this is one of the best DLC I've ever seen.
This is what gaming is all about. Pure fun. I showed this to my 7 year old and I just watched his reaction the entire time and I said keep watching at the end when the TRex appeared he was all like
Glad I got the expansion with Blizzard Mountain which was terrific too. If ever there is an expansion worth getting it's this one for sure.

However, a non racing game from a dev house comprised of ex racing devs doesn't exactly fill me with bags of confidence. Have they been recruiting talent from other genres?

They hired an art director from hitman. Im not convinced its a new IP though, nothing on their site nor their interview indicates its a new IP, just that its 'Project 2'. A few sites have misapropriated their titles. The hitman guy also says its based on a 'spectacular ip' which isnt usually how one describes a new one. You would just say 'we're making a new ip'

Fables don't really have stories though. Theres a big bad as the end game but like most open world games its just a string of quests.
"IP" isn't restricted to games though. The Witcher was an IP (a book, in this case) before they made a game off of it.
