Hi everyone!

I'm running a survey as a PhD students on the links between videogame use (not necessarily addiction) and personality. Therefore, this survey will go through : demographic data (age, gender, etc.), mood (depression, stress, anxiety), executive function (impulsivity, self-control), gaming use habits (time spent on game, when do you play, etc.), and problematic use (compulsive use, or addiction).

If you are interested you can click on the following link, it is quite short (should be done in 15 min maximum)!

You don't have to play games to participate, as that would give us the opportunity to compare gamers and non-gamers! So don't hesitate to share this link with your friends and family!

If you have any question, or opinion, feel free to reply to this post! I will read every message.

Thank you!

Done! And submitted my email too.

Do I get the free prostate-check as a reward? I love 'doctors!'

Some of the things were slightly ambiguous though... Like, I remember one time, after I was drunk and glassed my ex's new boyfriend, people told me "I was overreacting!" and "I need to calm down!"

But looking back, I think it was all pretty fair, and level headed thing to do. Although that may be the meth talking...

I'd take the survey but i'm afraid they'd have me committed after the results come in.

I found it confusing, because on p.3 or 4 (something like that), they state that when they use the word "gaming," they are really referring only to "ONLINE GAMING" (they capitalize it like that); they're just using the word "gaming" because it's shorter [one word shorter?]. I think that's something that should have been clarified at the start, rather than first asking about the types of games you like, how much you play games, etc., and then telling you they're only talking about online gaming. There are a lot of people who play primarily singleplayer games, and so the survey apparently doesn't apply to them, and yet this isn't made clear until you're well into the survey.

It's not even clear to me whether that instruction ("game" = "online game") applies only to that single page of instructions (p. 3 or 4, something like that) or to every use of the word "game" in the whole survey (since it only appears on that one page). I assumed it applied throughout, but I'm guessing.
