I don't like that type of connection and yes I have the same gripe with the ds4.
Not sure what that adapter has to do with what I'm saying.
The new DS4 that comes with the PS Pro is also wired.

Because he liked Mass Effect Andromeda

He's still pretty well regarded over there. He did hype Andromeda, and the game really fell short in terms of it's single player campaign. But I don't see his posts being attacked or shunned because of it.

Except the DS4 stays in wireless mode when usb chord is plugged. The Elite acts as a proper wired ( as in lowered latency)

Forgot where I read it but using controllers with cords raised Latency on Xbox consoles for some odd reason which is the opposite of plugging in a patch cord directly into your console for internet which reduces latency when compared to Wi-Fi. Same place I read that also stated that Xbox console wireless controllers had significantly less latency than PS wireless controllers.

I have not experienced that. In fact, I always plug mine in when playing multi because it feels a tad snappier... Maybe im weird..

After watching that video that Val posted, it seems as though the operating system (Win 10) may be slowing that down in real-world game tests. It seems as though there is more real-world input lag on Xbox, but definitely not due to the controllers themselves. I can't say I've noticed it, but the tests seemed pretty legit on the games they selected, anyway.

Also, the frame rates of the games themselves really do matter, as the frame buffer slows things down, with dropping frames. The Ps4 to Pro has a noticeable difference, as will Xbox One to Scorpio. I'm really thinking that when variable frame TVs emerge, that HDMI 2.1 passthrough could really see much snappier response times for Scorpio.

After doing some reading. I think Project Scorpio might be the biggest bust ever.

Im not going to get it if its true.

Yes, of course, sorry about that guys.
My concern is that now we have Bungie saying its 30 fps on all consoles even though they didn't mention Scorpio because they didn't bother. What if these games are coming out on 30 fps because of the Xbox one s cant do it, are we stuck with 30 fps?

How can this console be called premium when they are telling them that the framerate must be the same. Windows PC don't have this problem and they are people that play games at 30 and 60 together and they have fun playing.

To me, this console is pointless to call premium if the framerate is held back.

Well thats a dilly pickle. Unlike PCs there are diminishing returns for framerates above 60fps on consoles and given that many ips have sought to double their framerates this gen (Halo, Battlefield, Gears multi) and others simply maintaining (Forza, Doom (following RAGE) CoD) then next gen leaps wont see them double again, because 60fps is high end for console.

Bungie is frankly LYING about the CPU when literally every other first person shooter is doing 60fps with no worse and often better graphics. They have a point that Destiny is open world...but its a very thin one when you see the size of some maps in battlefield.

Well they aren't allowed to talk about it. They even said so.

At the end of the day its just one game so I don't see why its a big deal.

I hope so because its pointless to have those games in 30 when the system can clearly do 60. Its not a limitation of the hardware its a decision from the developers.

Yeah, I was mildly disappointed but nothing bringing me down in the dumps. Unless something really stupid happens, this won't stop me getting Scorpio as framerate is only part of the equation. In the PC world, you have folks playing MP at varying levels of framerate but on console, there seems to be the desire to standardize this kind of stuff so everybody is on the same playing field. In my mind, if a developer really wants 60 fps, they could just downrez the X1/PS4 versions accordingly...or make it dynamic rez (i.e. 720p/60)...this would get folks to upgrade in a hurry :).....I mean there has to be some feature compromised on the X1/PS4 versions if they are trying to maintain framerate parity across the family. Ultimately though, I would not be happy if every game had to be 30fps on Scorpio/Pro because of X1/PS4 compatibility.

Isn't it possible that they are doing that to keep an unfair advantage from people with the Pro/Scorpio?

That's true and it would have been a much more respectable answer ...I don't think any one would have bought it but it would have been better then what they said. Telling us the hardware (and they include Scorpio and pspro in this) isn't able to do their game at 60 fps when almost every other fps does is disgenuous. But hey its up to them to prove Destiny 2s physics and AI is worth not looking and running as well as Battlefront 2 come review time.

Is Destiny 2 with Bungie the precident companies are going to set to downplay are just outright not optimize ttheir games on the Scorpio just so that if they have marketing with Sony, the PS4 Pro or PS4 won't be outshined?

PS4 holding games back?

But Microsoft said all along there wouldn't be different frame rates between X1 and Scorpio.

I wouldn't worry too much. Bungie isn't really an indication to this. Destiny 2 seems like a continuation of Destiny in a lot of ways instead of a full blown sequel. If Bungie wants to keep 30 fps for Destiny, let them. The competition has already moved on to 60 fps in multiplayer shooters and will continue to do so without them.

Right, and maybe this will be something gamers should take up with Bungie. I really don't think it's MS or Sony's fault.
