This is what the evangelicals want. Prayers in school. It is 2018 and they still don't understand why we don't want their religion in our schools.

Nathaniel said children need more pray in their lives and he’s determined to bring prayer back to public schools.

Prayers in school = yes.
Guns in school? = well pray more.

It's expected that people who feel the answer to gun violence is thoughts and prayers and are against the exercise of intelligent thought are left to only offer prayer.

Oh, let this happen:

Michael R. Bromwich, McCabe's counsel, said they have long been considering lawsuits.

"We have for some time been actively considering filing civil lawsuits against the president and senior members of the administration that would allege wrongful termination, defamation, constitutional violations and more," Bromwich said. "The distinguished Boies Schiller law firm has recently joined us in this project. This is just the beginning."

Oh, it's happening. And I have to think the goal isn't to get a huge pre-trial settlement, but get to trial and see if they can get Trump under oath, where he'll win the case for them and/or perjure himself.

ron johnson is so morally compromised. I can't believe these people wake up everyday thinking it's ok to be this morally, and intellectually, dishonest.

It’s too radical of an idea to get passed. What would that cost? $2 trillion a year or so? It would have to take the place of a number of programs in addition to being covered by new corporate taxes I would imagine.

He is interested in a VAT Tax because you can't really apply an Income Tax to Robots or Software as he puts it.

He also talks about a transition to UBI and away from traditional welfare safety nets as a means to simplify and reduce the administration involved or need for caseworkers.

As for how radical this is, we'll see how Automation or even AI starts shaping up as we get close to 2020 as well as Trump's failure to salvage industrial jobs like Carrier. I do think Yang slightly exaggerates the pace of autonomous cars and semitrucks, but he is right that those are being worked on. It's possible that when all vehicles are automated and talking to each other on a shared city network and less of a mix between human and computer drivers, the possibility of accidents will go way down.

Otherwise, I'm curious how this might shape up as a Business Man candidate for the Democrat side.

All I know is living in this 1950s-esque past where people can go work in a factory for 40 years and be middle class is more crazy than any solution I've heard to the problem. Trump's platform is just flat out BS.

Even though I lean left I tend to be against long term welfare. If you pay people to not work, that's exactly what they are going to do. I'm a bigger believer in work-fare - support the people who make crap money but work hard (the problem with that is you end up subsidizing WalMart too).

The problem with jobs isn't the availability, it is the availability of good jobs. There's always min wage jobs out there, the problem is you can't live off that money. Why even bother if you don't have a path out of poverty?

The other issue is education. Funny how the party supposedly about jobs is also very anti-education. Education should be h a priority along with things like trade skills.

It's because part of their base is intimidated by education for any number of reasons.
