How do you just not talk about it and hope it goes away when the problem is a very real problem for many.

I mean, should we just stop talking about radical Islam and hope it goes away? What a novel ideal.

In a way, the talking is a problem though. But not for the reasons proposed in the posts you're responding to; it's because for too many people, "talking" about issues means opening their mouths and keeping their ears and minds firmly closed. So you get people talking about the inequality that exists today, and then you get people talking about reverse racism and these messages just bombard back and forth, with nobody apparently willing or able to actually mediate, and then the people who are unstable on either side decide that they're going to make a statement another way, and it just perpetuates the cycle.

No doubt, but "talking" could pose a problem for anything. That doesn't mean we say we should stop talking and just hope for the better. BLM movement is largely the result of too much waiting for things to change. We need to have open dialogue that is productive....not just silence in hopes for the best.

Okay, note, still call her a witch. Its hard for people to see the damage she cause, because they do not live here. I always here people say but its nice to help refugees, that is until they step foot here, & they goes like WTF!!! Where are all the children & women I see on media?

I get that he was a scumbag; but the idea of sending the guy a robot and telling him it was to communicate and then blow the guy up strikes me as such a scum bag move. Also they were all to happy to show the gory photos of the guy, funny, haven't seen one photo of the shot cops.

I haven't seen the USA tv coverage, but its been really weird here.

One dude is being built up to look like a hero. (don't know if he is, or isn't, its just weird tv coverage)

The bloke had ptsd by the sounds of it? I'm still muddled about some of the facts...

How would you try to take out a gunman that just went on a rampage and had the upper hand to take out anybody that came his way?

You didn't see photos of the cops? You're right, we saw videos of them being executed instead.

if he is in a location where he can not escape, wait him out, smoke him out, or use tear gas of some sort. you only use deadly force as a last option. while i understand wanting to kill the guy that just took out 12 of your "brothers in blue"i think it had more to do with getting him back than getting things resolved. releasing the photos of his dead body add to that idea.

raciest ass hat who hated cops and hated white people was looking for and found a reason to kill others. he wasn't a Black Lives matter member, just some f***ing nut case.
 
I don't believe in capital punishment and I'm not for killing people once you have captured them but in cases like this where peoples lives are still at risk and this guy has already proven he is not only willing to kill but that's his goal I can't say I have a problem using a bomb. Especially when he says he has bombs planted all over the place and is laughing at officers. Why wait him out and put more lives at risk from this clown? Clearly you don't make this your first option whenever you have a stand off but this was a pretty unique situation from the start.

I live in Ireland and we have mostly unarmed cops as well. It works fine here and in the UK.
 
In U.K, cops ares suppose to be your friends.
