National TV Schedule
For just the second time in the 13-year history of the NBA.com GM Survey, five different teams received multiple votes to win The Finals. The San Antonio Spurs got the most votes, but still less than half.

Yep, nobody really knows what's going to happen this season. All we know is that the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers are probably going to meet in the Eastern Conference finals. But even that depends on the health of some players that haven't been all that healthy in recent years. We've said the same about the Bulls and Miami Heat before, only to see that get blown up by Derrick Rose's injuries and the Indiana Pacers' defense.

The West seems particularly wide open, given the age of the Spurs and the health of Kevin Durant. The Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers all could be heirs to the throne if new personnel fits right or if they take the needed step forward on one end of the floor or the other.

May and June are a long ways away, but we'll start getting answers to all our questions about the 2014-15 season on Tuesday.

This theme needs to be brought back immediately and used before every game. Screw what's used now.

Raps win against a quality opponent. Almost lost the lead in the 4th but obligatory:

Great opening for the Heat!
As a Washington fan, this game was telling about how thin the Wizards are without Ariza on D.
I wasn't really excited about the Pierce and Humphries signings .
Wizards were supposed to win this game. they weren't passing the ball enough.
It did seem that bosh and cole couldn't miss in the 2nd half though. and the heat were good at never giving anyone a free look at the basket.
....but will see how it goes when Beal is back and Nene starts tonight.

Can't ever take much from opening night, guys are nervous/exited and lack of communication, the Heat looked much more in sync. Wizards were missing some key players too.

Don't sleep on the Southeast division, its gonna be pretty competitive specially for that top 4 or 3 seed.

How about those Cavs? Scroll back through the pre season thread, hate to say I told you so. Bulls the team to beat in the east, Cavs time will come but not until next season.

Eastern conference finals a possibility, I won't argue with that.

PS: This isn't a knee jerk reaction to the first game, they are a lot better then this 100 (this loss will help them, bring them off that pedestal in there head). I just hope the whole 'they are the best/invincible' before playing a game s*** stops. The one that kills me the most when somebody tells me the Cavs are better then the Spurs, you no nothing about basketball if you think that.

That was just the same growing pains the Heat went through the first season. Lebron was excited and played passive. Come mid November the Cavs will be blowing teams out.

I won't argue with that I also think they'll average 100+ points but there not invincible and or unbeatable and no where near as good as people make out. The Bulls, Clippers and Spurs are better. Shoutout to the Mavs also.

No D and nothing of the bench and can you really trust Love to make those big shots? You won't win the championship with no defense.

I'm not worried about the Bulls. It will be a cake walk to the Finals when it's all said and done. Lebron cancels out Rose and then you have Irving and Love to deal with. The Bulls can't score when it matters and a soft and old Gasol isn't going to change that. Everyone knows the Spurs are already in the Finals. They're the team to beat.

Laughable. Time will tell, no chance of the Cavs making the finals because of the Bulls. Opinion of course.

Don't count out Miami with a fit D Wade also.

Edit: You actually a Cavs fan or jumping on the Lebron ship TDbank24? he needs to leave that chalk alone also.

LeBron James played one of the worst games of his career. I expect the LeBron James we all know to pop up relatively soon.

Cavs are still the team to beat in the NBA.

I'm a fan of greatness. I'm still a Celtics fan even though they're rebuilding. I don't jump ship. Rondo almost dropped a triple double with a broken hand the other night. I'd be more worried about the Celts if i was the Cavs. They're going to surprise a lot of people this year.

Great win by the Cavs. They showed that they're the class of the East tonight.

Bulls are scary though. Rose sat out (all of the 4th quarter?) and Thibs didn't play Gasol for long stretches for some reason, and the Bulls wouldn't go away. If healthy, the Bulls are going to win 60 games this year.

I have a feeling it is going to be a roller coaster for the Cavs this year. Some great/good wins and some sloppy/bad losses. Do not see them winning it this year next year they will be legit and have the chemistry together. Book it. Spurs are still the best team in the NBA.

Really hope the Spurs do not let Kawhi Leonard get away in the off season they did not give him a deal before the deadline so they can either match a deal in the off season or he can go somewhere else for a max deal. I hope he stays he is a great player for our future.
