So two indie games, an expansion to an old indie game, XBox's Days Gone, a 6th Gears of War game in 12 years made by a suspect studio, and another racing game.

To get serious for a moment, I actually think Microsoft has a good E3. It's just that XBox One did not have a good E3.
Compared to Sony's ZERO indie games, ZERO Days Gone presence, one game with a release date (the 37th game with that IP), no racing games, no new games.....

Ask MS.

I don't know Menace. What are the Death Stranding, Ghosts and The Last of Us 2 release dates? lol

Don't know. But I wasn't the one trying to use dates as some weird metric for some weird thing in order to do what exactly? Justify your continued investment in the Xbox ecosystem??? I have no idea.

I don't think you realise just how hypocritical your posts look. Doesn't sound like you to be honest.

Not hypocritical at all. I explained why I thought MS had the best E3 IMO is all. I don't need any metric to enjoy the Xbox or PS ecosystem. I just need them both to continue to give me great games.

Why? Because of tentative release dates? Really. Makes no sense at all.

If you prefer Gears, Horizon, Crackdown over Ghosts, Last of Us, Spidey, Death Stranding then fine, that is cool...can't really argue against what you find most appealing. But you are arguing new announcements of the same old over new IPs. You are arguing tentative release dates over no release date. It is a bit hypocritical.

Nah, I don't like the Xbox games OVER the PS games just because one is Xbox and one is PS. I like games that look good to me. DS, at this time doesn't look good to me. Ghosts at this time looks amazing to me. Spiderman doesn't look good to me. Horizon 4 looks amazing to me, Gears Tactics looks like ass to me. Gears 5 looks like nice change in the formula. I go game by game, not system by system. I just happened to believe that what MS had shown was more impressive than what Sony had shown. Same IP's, but new games. In addition to 5 new studios that will be making 5 new IPs (most likely). Granted, Sony doesn't need to show new studios, because they already have more IPs and studios.

We already knew that even if MS announced new studios, we wouldn't see those IPs. I watched a video yesterday with Shawn Layden. He said it took 12-13 year for him to get the PS where it is now with studios and games that we are seeing. Think about that, 12-13 years. It's a good thing MS bought existing studios with previous experience because 12-13 years to get to this level that Sony has is the nail in the coffin for Xbox. So we are going see at least, IMO, 5 years of work before we come close to the Sony output in exclusive games.

I am just glad they did it because if they hadn't, I don't know how much more Halo/Gears/Forza I was willing to play.

Yeah, we caught you here. Just a few posts back you said...

"not only did MS' first party stuff seem to be the best of the big two"

Microsoft's E3 conference was essentially "More of the same for the current generation" and "Doing things differently for 2020 and beyond."

In case you haven't been paying attention, Microsoft hasn't been competing with Sony for the majority of this gen. Few, if any think "more of the same" is going to alter course for them in the next couple of years. Sony might not have had surprises this year but they had quality in spades.

I hate to break your bulls***, but he has a subjective preference to what was shown. This is the MICROSOFT thread. You are about as irritating in your trolling as I've seen in a while. Why don't you go jack-off in the Sony thread?

f*** me some of you guys suck the fun out of everything, and your particular arrogance is galling.

It's fine if the MS announcements did nothing for, but being new in and of itself doesn't make a game good. Ghosts of T, outside of the visuals didn't show much of anything actually interesting gameplay-wise. Sony's showings were heavy on atmosphere and sense of place and cinematic, but from a gameplay persective there was little to get excited about. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the worship is irritating, especially when you bring it into inappropriate forums.

I try not to take it that seriously.

Microsoft did some good things at E3 and some not so good things. I think it's OK discussing both.

Nothing like a good glory hole, right Bellybama
They should totally count towards community service.

Grindr has killed most of the beats with glory holes off (and the introduction of steel walls in men's toilets), but for my mates 30th we got him one for his bedroom (you would think it's just a hole in a door, but you have to get solid wood doors so the wood doesn't splinter, then we covered the inside with duct tape to cushion it). He gets a surprising amount of milage out of it.

And then he had the ordasity to complain that the hole wasn't big enough for... Other things.

Everyone needs a hobby.

Ok, no more dick waving.. this is MS's E3 thread, not a comparison thread. Those who can engage in a meaningful discussion can remain. For those who cannot help but troll, do it elsewhere. please

Okie dokie, ignoring Illini's talk about dick waving, quasi back on topic, I was kind of crushing for a new Fable announcement, but seeing this, this kind of how I was hoping for the new game to be stylised. Gritty, but characterised. (This game is on Xbox and PC too, but didn't find that trailer.)

Of course, it would also need a bunch more colour and chickens.

I really liked Sudeki back in the day. I'd love to play through that again.

What difference does any of that make?

What the hell does that even mean? Microsoft didn't have a good E3? Care to elaborate?

I guess we just saw different things. I got two things out of this conference. One, Microsoft seems intent on keeping up with the status quo (Gears, Halo, Forza) this generation. If you love those franchises then you should be happy. They're just not for me. However, for the first time since the original XBox I view the future of the brand (post 2020) interesting to me personally. I did not think I'd be saying that this time last week.

Maybe E3's, and this industry, is too complex to label it "good or bad".

Their conference left me disappointed in the future (next two years) of the XBox One and hopeful for the future of their next console.

Is that good or bad? I don't know.

So sony fans are holding on to 3 or 4 six hour single player games you could finish in a week if they all came out at the same time over Microsofts great game library, better online play, better games program, The games also play better and look better on the X.

Not only do I own Xbox but i also a pro with vr. I love them both but im not delusional. Clearly Microsoft had a better conference this year. If sony would of doubled down on vr and showed some awesome stuff coming it would of been pretty close to Microsofts IN MY OPINION. .

Please stay on topic and stop with the VS conference because that will be a battle that no one will ever be happy with... even though I wasn't impressed with SONY conference.

I don't want to see this thread to be closed so please stop.
