Just the fact GTA 6 is releasing means it will probably be one of the best years of this generation. In addition to the ones below, there is also Wolverine and Venom being rumoured to release .

The Internet and it's overhyping.

Going to guess the job losses topic will see more posts than any other.

Is it me? I find it annoying that people hype about the next great game coming. Then when that game releases, we start talking about the next great game coming.

It's never savoring the moment that's been hyped for months or even years.

2025 can wait. Plenty of good games coming this year and are here now.

Always in a rush. Always getting ready for the next holiday when the current holiday isn't even finished.

I see it as gaming industry like most markets are forward looking.

News and content posts are known ahead of time so that gamers can make informed decisions on what games to buy or play. I don't see anything wrong with it in general. You can be both forward looking and enjoy games in the moment. Heck we have thousands of posts for some bigger known games. That's an accumulation of looking forward to moments and news months and years before launch that make up the holistic thread.

I get it. It might just be me being older and wanting to slow down a little more, so more personal...I guess.

However, I do think we try to fast track many things, not just games in a broader sense.

It is a random fanboy on Twitter doing the hyping. Not the industry.

Yes, games get announced years before release, but the industry doesn't really start doing anything until 6 months before release.

Or those that hype a game and then tear it apart after release. Itā€™s all a crock usually to get clicks/views.

This is why I buy/play games at my own pace. It might take a few years for me to get around to a game. If itā€™s good then great for me.

No interest really in any of those games other than GTA6.

Yeah we are in the era of moving rapidly , gen z and younger move from one thing to another super fast these days. Just look at social media. Every day there is some new drama. Then next week already forgotten.

These Twitter lists are so dumb they reaching on a lot of those, who cares this early?

The people who post them...

It honestly makes me mad seeing people on Twitter posting such trash just to get undeserved attention.
