It's hard for forums to get traffic. Everyone uses Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc.

Two dozen sign ups in 7 months. I don't get it. The site page looks fantastic and the forums here are very good.
There are a lot of unique visitors per day. We average 6,000~ unique per month. A lot of people like to just read and not participate.

And thanks for the compliments.

Wow. That's a hell of lot of lurkers. What percentage do you suppose are actual people, vs. some kind of robot?

p.s. Current count: Members: 16, Guests: 156, Robots: 18

That's weird that so many people just read without joining.

The robots are the same ones that are scouring everyday. They don’t change much. Their IP doesn’t change often from me watching them. They’re the usual google, bing, and other content search mining. China seems to have the most robots which I found weird.

I had ratings open for people who lurk to register and people would rate. I ended up turning it off because people were spamming sometimes. So, I turned it off. I had it on for the electronics forum as a test.

We're not sure.

They're just there...... lurking......

10x more lurkers than members... that's weird to me. I've always joined forums that I spent any time reading.

I read countless forums without joining. The only ones I’m a member of are here and Macrumors. I read a lot of politics, sports, tech forums, etc. Lurked at NeoGAF and didn’t join there. Don’t join though. Every new thread gets pushed through Twitter automatically. That includes DLC’s deals. That helps with outreach traffic.

Corrected the unique visitors metric. I was looking at wrong metric range. It’s around 6,000 unique.

I do the same thing. The main reason I joined TXB back in the day was to be able to hide images, avatars, sigs because I was on dialup at the time.
