Get Out and Shape of Water?! Disaster Artist snubbed? Is this a joke thread?
Shape was getting buzz for whatever reason. It should get zzzzz's. Get Out is a token nomination. Disaster Artist is the opposite of token. Because of Franco's allegations it wasn't getting nominated, as well as Franco's non-nomination.

Sad to see Wind River didn't get nominated. I guess it's partially because it's a Weinstein movie.

I'll never understand snubbing a movie or a performer for something they are accused of. Even if they are guilty, it doesn't take away from how good the movie or their performance is.

Not worth the media backlash

I haven't seen any of these movies but Get Out was extremely well received

Timothee Chalamet was pretty spectacular, and if the previous awards are anything to go by, I think Francis McDormand has it in the bag.

Dafoe for supporting actor too.

No idea for best film. There's a bunch up there that I don't think should be there.

Because it wasn't that good

It was ok, I enjoyed it for what it was. It not getting nominqted isn't a surprise, though.

Just a reminder to everyone that The Wire never won an Emmy. Bruno Mars repeatedly wins Grammys. And Crash won the Oscar for best picture.

These awards are given by out of touch people who are more than likely detestable human beings.

Dunkirk is the only one I've seen out of any of those lists I think. HBO has Get Out which I've been meaning to watch. Need to see Blade Runner as well but want to watch the first again. Will probably just end up buying that one. The rest I'll catch most likely once they are streaming somewhere.

Where were all the debut trailers for the big 2018/2019 movies?

I miss Geoff Keighly.

f*** the Oscars.
