AI breakthrough reinforcement learning now feasible...

Pretty amazing article thinking about what real world problems could be tackled in the not so distant future...

Yep. A machine learning algorithm was able to diagnose a patient on something a doctor missed. One day in the not far future we'll have devices that can diagnose our diseases really early. It will save a lot of lives and bring down healthcare costs but also potentially get rid of a lot of medical professionals.

I, for one, welcome our Ai overlords *puts on tin hat*

As much of the potential is there that they would destroy us. They may be the only thing that can save us from ourselves.

Is it too early to start campaigning for AI marriage equality? I'm running out of things to be outraged about.

Also, have you kids seen the Animatrix episode "The Second Renaissance"? It's a pretty sad anime, but almost haunting in the probability of it being an eventuality.

I wonder if people will believe in freedom for self actualized AI, or keeping them slaves...
