Amazon Prime pre-order discount changes

CD Keys is good for PC as well. They have console games but I don't think I've ever purchased anything for console on there.

I don't care for it either. With taxes, its cheaper for me to go digital on Day 1 purchases. ( Wow never thought I'd say that). Plus the whole thing with not receiving the credit for 30-35 days after the game is shipped or digitally delivered seems kinda weak.
How is it cheaper?
taxes aren't more than the 10 discount

If I buy a physical copy of a game day 1 from amazon with tax it's a total of $64.79. If i buy the digital copy day 1 its final total is $59.99 as Amazon doesn't tax digital goods in my state.

The $10 discount cannot be applied to the purchase as it doesn't get added to your account for 30 days after purchase.

I'd rather have digital anyway unless I'm getting a great deal. Digital deals are getting a lot better (still have a long way to go). I follow IGN Deals on twitter and they usually keep track of any big video game sales.

By the time I actually get around to playing most games they are cheaper digitally anyway.

Yeah I follow Greenmangaming, Dealzon and CheapAssGamer on twitter just so I don't miss anything.

Amazon still takes a $10 hit on each game, which if the game is popular, runs into millions of dollars. So it's a big discount, still.

If you're a regular amazon customer, we're talking about a whopping two dollar price difference, which imo is nothing. If you're not a regular amazon customer, I can see why it would bug you, because then you'd have to pay attention to the 60 day limit.
