Do you guys think they'll eventually come out with lower-end CPU's based on these that would compete with i5's and i3's?
I'm possibly building a new HTPC in the next few weeks but might wait if AMD has more coming within the next couple months.

Unless hidden in the article somewhere, last I read the 4 and 6 core processors were listed as second half 2017 sometime. They do list pricing though.

Yea I had an Athlon 64 and she was a beast at the time.I am glad to see AMD doing well with this. I picked up a desktop with one of the AMD Athlon 64s not long after they were released (I think only HP offered customizable ones at the time and I didn't think I wanted to try building a box then), and loved it. Intel really stepped it up with the Core 2 Duo and until recently, they were rocking it pretty hard, but I think the industry needs AMD to be able to push them for all of us to benefit.
