How would pc be held back by pc? That's the platform where the power is?Odd, the PS Pro isn't held back by the PS4. The PC isn't held back by the PC. Scorpio won't be held back by the Xbox One. I just think that people are mad that Scorpio is 6+ and PS Pro is 4+. People just need to get over it.
Different graphics cards.....How would pc be held back by pc? That's the platform where the power is?
I saw your chart. I didn't see links in that chart that quoted a Microsoft Xbox engineer stating that the Xbox can't do that. BTW, all X86 processors and graphic units can do the 32 -> 16. Scorpio has an X86. BTW, MS has been doing that for years, as well as NVIDIA.I had the chart as a avatar
That doesn't make any sense. There are graphics settings if they can't run it high enough.Different graphics cards.....
Scorpio cannot do 12 TF's in FP16 mode like the Pro....Nor can the RX 580 which the Scorpio is based on These are the facts.I saw your chart. So, if you could just throw us up a link from Microsoft stating that their Scorpio can't do that , that would be great.
Yup and they have to program for the set minimum.Different graphics cards.....
^^Oh and you don't have to buy what Sony and DICE said but again I say if you take a 4.2 TF GPU and give it a 30% increase it=BF1 running on the Pro.
Scorpio cannot do 12 TF's in FP16 mode like the Pro....Nor can the RX 580 which the Scorpio is based on These are the facts.
They have options for low and max. Games are not held back.Yup and they have to program for the set minimum.
Yes they are...hence the reason not all games work with all chipsets. They have options for low and max. Games are not held back.
Go to gaf and spout this and when people who know even more than me rip you with the facts.Ok, can you support your claim of facts with an official link from Microsoft stating that they can't do 12TF in FP16?
NopeSeems like it would perform much better than the numbers I've seen then.
Nope
Pro's resolution is 1440p and higher and struggles no more.Meaningless graph in regards to pro and how/where they achieved a supposed 30% increase. The game has had several patches at it still runs like what you would expect, nothing more. pro's resolution struggles and is dymanic/low
No.Yes they are...hence the reason not all games work with all chipsets.
Some require more muscle, some more memory and some certain chipset features that not all GPU/CPU's have.
I have been to gaf. I am there all day every day like I am here. Nobody there has claimed such either.Go to gaf and spout this and when people who know even more than me rip you with the facts.
Remember we still luv you here@the Union
They sure have and that's where I got the image and info from.I have been to gaf. I am there all day every day like I am here. Nobody there has claimed such either.
Pro's resolution is 1440p and higher and struggles no more.
You must not of watched the video I posted which explains a lot.
Pro is a 4+ and Scorpio is a 6+. They're both capable machines that will produce great looking images, but Scorpio is superior in every way. Any wiggling to attempt to put them on the same level is a fallacy.
But I am not claiming anything. I am asking you for the fact from Microsoft engineers stating that Scorpio can't do fp16. I have not claimed one way or the other. And if it is a fact as you state, then surely you can supply us with the article from MS stating that they can't do fp16?They sure have and that's where I got the image and info from.
Come on be brave and start a thread saying what you are saying
I can agree with that.Nobody is doing that though, the hardware is superior even though it is missing some features the Pro has just as the Pro is likely missing some features that Scorpio has. That doesn't mean we won't see better looking games on Pro at times, at least from 1st party studios. Sony's studios have proven to be able to push tech and art in a way that none of MS's studios have to date (IMO) but that doesn't mean that the pro will have the same resolutions etc.
It stays 1440p and sometimes goes above that.. the performance on the Pro is BETTER than XBO/PS4 with better visual effects and a much higher resolution. A 4.2 TF machine couldn't achieve these results but a 4.2 TF machine with 30% more performance could.I watched it, and it still has fps drops and dynamic resolution, also, you're using the 30% increase as a blanket statement, no real specifics, is it 30% resolution increase all the time, fps increase, half and half? Where is this performance increase going because it should show way more than what we see, fps drops and lower res
That's stupidly broken logic. If that were the case, then why do max settings on pc games barely look better than a 1.3TFs machine on 90% of all games? Why does Watch Dogs max setting look identical to consoles instead of looking like the E3 trailers? What about Far Cry 3? Why does Witcher 3 have no settings to adjust LODs?They have options for low and max. Games are not held back.
The more powerful but Scorpio based RX 580 can't do this as per AMD's Official specifications. But I am not claiming anything. I am asking you for the fact from Microsoft engineers stating that Scorpio can't do fp16. I have not claimed one way or the other. And if it is a fact as you state, then surely you can supply us with the article from MS stating that they can't do fp16?
The onus is on you, as you are making the claim, not me. I haven't seen anything from MS stating they can or can't. Apparently you have. So if you could just be so kind. BTW, I have looked at Eurogamer, Digital Foundry, Phil Spencers twitter, Neogaf, IGN, Gamespot, here, as well as Giant Bomb, GameFAQs, Windows Central and haven't seen this elusive confirmation from MS.
Not sure what you're looking at. I noticed dramatic differences. That's stupidly broken logic. If that were the case, then why do max settings on pc games barely look better than a 1.3TFs machine on 90% of all games? Why does Watch Dogs max setting look identical to consoles instead of looking like the E3 trailers? What about Far Cry 3? Why does Witcher 3 have no settings to adjust LODs?
