Anthem

lol guy is already done with a game that came out two days ago? Saw on Reddit people mentioning end game stuff as well. Even at the height of my gaming life I don't think I'd put that many hours into a game in that short of a time. Just gets boring after a couple hours and I need to do something else.

Yeah but he isn't just a gamer playing a game. He is a content creator/streamer, this is his job. You do your job for 8 hours a day regardless of how boring it is/gets.

That's absolutely not what he's saying. He doesn't compare his crazy amount of playtime with the normal person (in his last video he says that a day for him is a week+ for most gamers). He's talking about longevity that many people look for in these kinds of games.

He's also going against his personal interests talking down about the game, but the guy's being honest. Anyone thinking of buying should watch. I think you'll get a few weeks of gameplay but not much else.

This is a multiplayer game, so the amount of people playing is important. The bugs and the lack of interesting story are more alarming than anything.

If I only get a few weeks out of it then the $15 Origin premier was worth every penny.

Yeah, if I get three or four weeks of this I’d be happy enough. I’m not looking for a big end game to invest my time in right now. If they add more to it over the next year then that’s good to as I can go back and check it out.

has anyone posted how the highest value loot looks in the game? is there any cool looking weapons?

Does anyone else have trouble deciphering where your squadmates are?

My brother and I have been playing and while flying around and during combat it usually goes like this

"Where are you?"
"Over here."
"Where?"

Yes, the UI definitely has some issues. There's no way to tell people in your squad from some random who just happened to land nearby.

The one indicator is that on the left it shows your team and usually gives you a directional indication of where they are (or if they are close it just shows as a circle).

Haven't done much free play so haven't experienced that. But I can see how it would be easy to get lost from a free play squad given the verticality and movement of the game.

Not sure about cool looking but this guy has farmed quite a few masterworks and some of their specific features sound pretty cool.

Originally started with the Ranger, but recently unlocked the Colossus and damn is it fun.

Same here. That rocket attack that the ranger has is slick but the sheer ability of rhe colossus to take a beating and keep going is awesome as well.

I started with Storm but I feel like I'm more of a Colossus player. Have to try it out.

My friend is a Storm and has an ice attack right now. My Colossus has the lightning coil which auto fires. That thing is OP against frozen enemies because it chains between them lol. So awesome to see. Then I've got a flamethrower which just melts enemies. I also love the fact that both weapons aren't one time use and then long recharge.

I'm still not sure if I'm getting it (might be a last minute impulse buy) but I think I had the most fun with Colossus. I always lean towards the tanky character. Plus I think a ton of people are going to go Storm so a Colossus should always be useful.

Supposedly the higher difficulties are really tough (like everything one hits you tough) so a tank should be fun.

Is there a proper single player campaign with this, or am I going to have a bad time going solo?

It’s got auto match making. There is no competitive MP. It’s all coop. So far I’ve only done one mission on normal difficulty where I didn’t get anyone jumping in. It was a good challenge to solo it. So yeah I think it can be played solo but you are better off with coop. Especially on the harder mission difficulty.

Game is a lot fun. It has some issues for sure, but I think a lot of reviewers are ripping into it way too hard.
