Gonna apply for a job and it's gonna require skype. I got a laptop with a camera, so it'll be no problem, but I never used it before. I'm sure I can find some easy to use tutorials, but is there anything else I should know? Lighting? Sound? Camera distance? Anything you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

make sure the lube, duct tape, plastic sheeting and gag ball are hidden from sight before logging on.

Lol ^

My advice would be record yourself and view yourself. Study your reaction, practice your speech skills, make sure you have good body movement not like there's going to be much but still... Just straight out evaluate yourself that way you can avoid looking silly.

Big question that I'm having a hard time figuring out. I used my MS account to sign up to skype. The confusing part for me is what exactly my skype ID is. Any info regarding this?

Isn't it your microsoft account? That's what I do since msn messenger is no longer used. You just import your old messenger contact list.

I just found something and it was the MS account. I believe it's just the email that acts as the ID. Hopefully I nailed it right?

Get an Xbox One so you can Skype through Kinect. That way you can walk around your room and the camera will follow you during your conversations... like a boss.

Looks like I got everything set-up. Even took care of some lighting issues I had. Had to tape up one of the lights with that soft paper you get in things like gift bags or shoe boxes. Put some toilet paper in-between then used some thicker white paper to help take away this giant glow that was a huge distraction. Makes for a dangerous fire hazard though, so it'll just be used for this interview I'm about to take care of.
