Aquaman

The comedy parts were pretty bad

And the rooftop chase looked awful

I've seen/heard a ton of people talking about this trailer and they all raved about the rooftop scene, you are the only person I've seen complain about it.

I could understand why but I just thought it looked too fake

I thought it looked great, none of these movies look real but it was far more believable than anything I've seen in any other DC film since Man of Steel and this isn't going as heavy on the film grain. Wonder Woman gets near universal praise and a lot of the CGI in that movie looked really fake to me, I have yet to see anything in Aquaman that looks bad, some of the poor green screen stuff that was shown in the last trailer looks to have been fixed.

As long as the characters blend well with the background I'm fine with it, my only complaint about that rooftop scene was that the explosion at the end looked a bit low res and fake but that's something that bothers me in a lot of video game explosions as well so I guess it just stands out to me.

Being that this movie is so CGI heavy I'm surprised at how good it's all coming together, I don't know if it's the director being someone who has a real vision and is able to focus his team on the right things or what but this looks as good visually as the best marvel stuff IMO.

This just looks so much more epic and more like a comic movie than anything else DC/WB have put out so far. They've tried too hard to ground superman and wonder woman into somber dry stories because of the Nolan Batman films and that's just now how every DC character should be portrayed. This looks like a movie that's embracing it's over the top origins in a great way.

Momoa, cavill and hemsworth are prob the only actors that remotely looks like they should do bodywise to portray a superhero. Although cavill was way too small in the reshot scenes of JL.

Looks so good, really seems to have the potential to be the best DCEU movie yet.
