Hearing great things. Going to try it out. More opportunities to try than Splatoon as well.

This game is a f***ing blast. Played the first test punch on mobile mode, but just now I was playing on the TV, and it was fun to stand up, move around, and punch wildly like a madman. Possibly a day 1 purchase.

Okay, I'm legit blown away. This is Splatoon all over again. Nintendo did it once more. I immediately preordered this after playing. This is a hit.

The reveal looked lame but seeing a lot of positive feedback for this.

To me this game looked like an evolution of what Nintendo did with Wii Sports boxing but apparently from reviews it is considerably more.

My only concern with the game is, after playing more, that I don't care for any of the other modes other than 1 v 1. I am not sure how the final lobby system for the game will be either. I'd hate to pay $60 for Volley Ball matches.

Was thinking the same thing. ARMS is definitely their next Wii Sports type hit. Looks like a lot of fun to me.

Update 2.0 added a good amount of stuff. Fun game, for sure.

Switched my character. Was playing Min Min for a while but switched to Kid Cobra to try something new and I am digging em.

Is this game worth it for single player stuff? Not adverse to playing online but not really sure. Thinking of grabbing another game besides Splatoon to hold me off until Mario Kingdom Battle. Might grab that Wipeout style racing game though since it's only $20.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you have played BotW on the Wii U, correct? ARMS is not that single player focused.

No I haven't played BotW yet. Probably won't until I can play some of the other Zelda games.

BotW is very different than the other Zelda games. I would certainly check it out. It's one of the best games I've ever played.

If it doesn't require any previous knowledge of the series or a direct sequel then I may grab it sooner than later. And I'm still contemplating getting ARMS...hmm.

It doesn't. It's a standalone title. The story here is very, very basic. The game's strength is the open world. ARMS is fun! If you'd like to grab it, go for it.

Been contemplating on getting Arms for awhile now.....however I am not a fan of motion controls. Can I use my Pro Controller on it?

Yep. These are the controller configurations for non-motion controls.

That was going to be my next question. I don't mind doing the motion controls once in a while but prefer standard controls most of the time. Think I'll end up grabbing it then. For better or worse, the fact that Nintendo games rarely go on sale means I might as well just buy it now instead of waiting for a deal. Thanks for the Best Buy discount at least.

Ended up grabbing this game last night. Only did one championship with the spring boy or whatever. Pretty good game so far. I used the motion controls but not a fan of how you turn your hand to throw a curve punch. Turning your hand over is the normal way to through a punch so I find myself curving punches too often. Going to try regular controls and see how that feels.
