It is but it won't be dealt with until Guardians 3...which will be highly experimental given THEY ALL GONNA DIE!

It did. My issue though is that he won't be in the infinity movies. Him and the Silver Surfer are such huge parts of the story in the comics.

I can't understand why they'd even introduce him if not to appear in Infinity War.
I had sometimes wondered though if James Gunn and crew could level up the Guardians become the Infinity Watch. Star Lord has already used an Infinity Stone once.
possible this is the color of his face when entering earth with sunlight. We only see him in space with I am sure gives out all different colors.

Movie looks good but I find it to be a distraction when too many super hero's/villains are in a movie. It's like they're just trying to appease everyone by making sure there's someone everyone likes in these things.
But, but, butt, “avengers assemble”...
I feel the first avengers got it right. Seecond one, um, that’s a whole nother story on why it wasn’t as great but still ok, just below good.
I've actually missed some Marvel films and wondered what people consider essential movies for leading up to this 'Main Event'. I have seen the Avengers and Iron Man movies, but I never got around to watching any Captain America movies.
I'd say all are important, with the exception of Ant-Man. Lots of investments were made throughout all of the movies to pay off in Infinity War, story-wise.
I would say watch Cap Winter Soldier, Cap Civil War, Guardians Of The Galaxy 1 & 2, and the new Thor movie.
Got my tickets for noon the Friday it comes out.
