Avengers: Infinity Wars ***SPOILERIFFIC THREAD***

Amazing movie, but perplexed how The Hulk/Banner thing is going. It made me wonder if they sacrificed Hulk time to dedicate CGI Render time more to Thanos. If so, they may have been a good call because Thanos was done really well.

I think Ruffalo has wanted to tackle this character in a more psychological way to, but this is a weird start. We have seen Thor evolve though and I hope we'll see something new with Banner. There have been times in the comic when Banner and Hulk become a merged character, so I'm hoping it goes in a direction like that since Thanos showed a character like that can be pulled off visually and acted as well.

Maybe Banner gets a level of confidence from being in the Hulkbuster.

And yes, Hulk was my favorite comic so I'm interested in seeing how this plays out. :D

In the first Avengers, they hardly let Hulk even talk.

Thanos was amazingly done even if he did look like Rick from Pawn Stars.

Even though I know Spiderman will be back, that scene with him and Tony got me choked up a bit.

right? you could hear people hold their breath and sigh a soft yet painful 'aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' when loki and gamora died but when spidey died it went dead silent and you could hear a few sniffles and see flicks to the under eye in others. my niece was balling :( she kept asking me if he was really dead and why did he die through the credits.... and when some one brought it up as we walked out again came the water works.

I keep thinking of Josh Brolin in Planet Terror saying "Gonna eat your brains and gain your knowledge" playing while Thanos rips the stone out of the Visions' head.

Saw it last night, really liked it. A lot happened obviously, but at the end after Thanos snapped his fingers did all the stones break? Feels like they need to find a way to destroy the Soul Stone or rewind Thanos snapping his fingers using the Time Stone to go back here.

Either that or prove God is real and have him (or her) bring everyone back Dogma Style

movie was awesome but there are 3 things that stood out that bothered me.

1. Where is the rest of Thor people because last I remember Valkyrie wasn't in this movie.
2. They didn't show the Nova core getting rekt .
3. We always see Thanos pop up and getting the stones but never shown on how he discover about their capabilities.

1. They ded?
2. Dunno
3. He already knew what the stones did and where they were.

He escaped with the Space Stone. I think the gauntlet was needed to get all of them to work as one.

You make an interesting point though. Marvel Universe has it's own mythology of super beings that oversee things and I'm a little curious what different audiences will make of these comic book Gods.

1. Had the same issue, I'd like to think Valkyrie was a part of a crew that got away, along with Korg.
2. Nova Core was rekt before the end of Ragnarok because Thanos' ship was there at the end credits
3. There are a lot of beings that know the history of the Stones, I'm sure there are many who understand how it works. Agreed this could be explained better, but it's not farfetched that he already knew.

I actually didn't like how it eventually ended. Even more worrying is how they will rectify that ending with part 2....if Cap Marvel just whoops Thanos and uses the time stone to fix s*** then colour me massively disappointed.

I think everything up to that ending was good. Getting all those different characters mixing and playing off each of them for humour was done well for the most part.

Thanos was not really the big evil baddy guy at all, he was more like a noir character.

Didn't like that the Hulk was nowhere and Vision was just dead weight for the entire movie.

Iron Man & Spidey-man suits were awesome. Doctor strange started to do some crazy s***. Good things.

Most of the deaths will be cancelled in the next making it rather pointless in the end.

I saw it and loved it. Very faithful to the comic. Was cool how they had Hulk bring the message of Thanos coming to earth. In the comic it is the Silver Surfer.

Also since we know Nick Fury was contacting Captain Marvel when he died I wonder how exactly she didn't know what was going on.
In the comics one of her powers is Cosmic Awareness which means she knows what is going on in the universe at any point.
At this point she is the only one left that can rival Thanos in a fight.

I feel that your guess about Captain Marvel might be true but it should be Adam Worlock shoukd end the conflict but before that it also should Nebula shoukd rip the glove off.

Doctor Strange should get the MVP award for most powers used visually and diverse, runner up was Ironman. Thinking of it now, Spidey kinda went to waste with all the options he was presented in his own film and failed to use them this time around.

New suit took care of the spidey issue.

There were way too many chaaracters, some were inevitably going to be wasted.

It wouldn't say faithful. More like use some elements.

Is it a coincidence that the original 6 Avengers survived and there are 6 Infinite Stones? How convenient. (Assuming Hawkeye is alive somewhere)

I expect there will be a high risk chance to undo what Thanos did, but in a spur of the moment the characters will interact directly with the stones the way Peter Quill and the Guardians did and this will certainly kill Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. Hulk and especially Thor stand a small chance of surviving this.

Thus the newer heroes like SpiderMan, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, and maybe others return and take over while the old Avengers die to make it happen while also undoing Thanos' massacre of half the universe.
