Backwards Compatibility

Xbox.com might have leaked that Oblivion and MW3 are about to become BC

Have you guys seen they are coming out with a repack of the Xbox 360 games?

Great idea. The more people that see that the games play on both the better.

Am I trippin' or has the MW3 and Oblivion bc been debunked back into the realm of maybe, one day...we'll see, it might be possible (By Major Nelson)?

Its not official no, they were listed on a sale in error.

However...lots of Call of Duty games are backwards compatible ...as are the Fallout games so it does somewhat suggest that if those games work and they share similar frameworks with MW3 and Oblivion that they might be close. MS obviously isn't going to prioritise COD 4 or Skyrim since they just got remakes and that would only hurt those sales on their console..but theres no harm in MW3 or Oblivion.

Phil did say we would get a lot of fan favourites in November....although, we may not see them for several months like the Red Dead Redemption leak.

Is also known Skyrim works as it was the game they first tested to make bc but Bethesda have blocked it for the remaster

Skyrim remaster will be the first multiplatform game that I buy for my PS, as I want the enhancements from the additional PS Pro performance. But then next year, why Scorpio comes out, and Skyrim sees THOSE enhancements, will I have to buy the game AGAIN!?

Do you pick that over mods?

Burnout runs great. I think for the most part the days of significant performance issues with BC games is long gone, since Reach and the Gears games were fixed I can't fault it.

They just added Oblivion today.

If any of you have the 'Game of the Year Edition', you can pop that second disc in to get it to download the DLC. I'll be getting my Shivering Isles on again soon.

There was some good ideas behind it. Only if they called it something else. I think too many wanted it to be something else.
