Battlefield V

The problem is the medic has the wrong gun. The medic should be at the back of the squad, and having little SMGs is fairly useless.

Although I am glad they finally put rifles back in the hands of the assault class.
That's how I usually play medic. I'll sit back and revive people or throw medic bags out. Sometimes I'll just Desmond Doss it and not even use my weapon. Funny thing is I will sometimes score higher than my squad doing that. I played medic quite a bit in BF1 but this one I'm usually support.

Medic is tough. The gunfights are over so quick. In BF1 you could basically keep people alive forever.

I am really loving the game overall. There is a nice balance to the classes. I'm enjoying assault a ton and I enjoy support but haven't put a lot of time in. Setting up a machine gun from a good firing position is so rewarding. I've been mostly grinding on assault trying to get that STG44.

Whatever that last medic gun is seems to shred too. At least I die a ton to it. Don't have it unlocked myself.

The last medic gun is the Thompson. I'm not too far away from unlocking now.

I have been enjoying medic most. I just wish the Medic crate was useful, nobody interacts with it. It is completely useless and needs reverting back to the old AOE crate.

Yeah are those things bugged or something? They don't ever seem to do anything. I couldn't even get the 400 healing points or whatever to unlock the weekly weapon. I spent hours putting crates down and maybe got 20/400 or something. I was purposely taking damage and trying to heal myself and they never seem to work. It seems better to just toss the ammo pouches. Half the time they just seem to sink into the map and disappear too.

The interface could use some work for sure. It took me awhile to realize that as a medic, I need to go to the ammo station, not the medical station to get topped off.

I'm loving it though, but it does have those typical Dice elements to it. :)

I feel the same for ammo crates. I throw 'em down and hardly anyone grabs the ammo from them.

RTX really brings back that PC graphics gap with consoles...

I hope to see this tech implemented into the Next gen consoles so it’s nice to see the performance gains DICE have managed with the ray tracing.

RT is definitely a strain on even pretty decent CPU’s so that could be a problem for even the next consoles but I’d be happy with 30fps in the appropriate games.

I think there's a bug because it rarely tells you to press a button to get ammo. I see them and run up to them but nothing seems to happen half the time.

Amd is working on a better performing/less cost version.
Very likely coming to the next consoles.

So, TTK changes today. Can't find any specifics on what or by how much they tweaked things. If you don't like the changes you can still play current TTK values via the "Core Conquest" playlist.

Please don't ruin the game, Dice.

I don't think it is a TTK problem at all. I think it is more of a lag problem. You sometimes can die instantly or after you run around the corner, but that's not TTK, but of course lag.

Gamers are so dumb sometimes. Someone on reddit says something and they just keep repeating it without really understanding what the real problem is.

To be fair EA are the ones saying TTK and TTD are massively intwined.

I also don't think it is a lag issue either. It ( insta death) is too common and too random to be lag imo.

Did the casuals/non long time BF fans, want the change?

No. Unfortunately there seems to be a vocal group of players who are too hung up on BF1. Instead of adjusting their play, they want to break the game.
Too many people want the crazy long battles of BF1 where you had to shoot at people for an hour before they ran out of medic crates.

Twitter is pretty funny right now. Nothing but #NotMyTTK replies to all BF tweets.

Because "passive" players felt they died too quickly.
That's just f***ed up. I thought the majority of players thought the gunplay was just thought. Even people like Westie and Jackfrags thought the gunplay shouldn't be messed with.

I guess I could go to battlefield forum and bitch there.

i wont comment until i play, i fear many are commenting without even giving it a chance

Nope. The change is obvious. And it just gets worse the longer range you fight at.

I have been maining Medic class and the SMGs are now worse than ever.

I haven't played yet but the TTK on any guns that weren't overpowered were already a little too low sometimes. The medic guns were still pretty bad even after the latest buff. Reddit seems to be completely against it too, which makes me wonder who is asking for these changes.

Before this change I was already having people rush me and melee me instead of shooting me (like in COD MW2). I shoot them and end up dying to a knife which kills faster.

Nobody asked. You only need to read the TTK changelist on their forum.

They made these changes via data on their end and some nonsense assumption that TTK is the cause of people not logging back on quickly.

Hi Battlefield Community,

On behalf of the Battlefield team, I’d like to apologize for the silence over the past couple of days on the TTK topic. We’ve seen it’s been a big talking point and causing a divide in the community, which was never our intention. We have been listening closely to what you’ve all been saying.

Changes to the game carrying this kind of weight needs clearer, earlier communication before getting rolled out. We will improve how we roll out updates in the future and respond more quickly when you have questions or concerns.

So, why change TTK now? The intent came from us observing that new players are having a very hard time with the game compared to our core players, and we wanted to see if we could improve this over the holidays so more players can have a great time.

As many of our veteran players know, Battlefield games constantly evolve and change over time in our collaboration with the community. Battlefield V is no exception. We heard your feedback that many of you prefer the old TTK values, with one playlist featuring only Conquest using the “Core” settings clearly not being enough. To fix that, we will be adding a “Core” version of all playlists in the game next week, giving you a clearer choice between new and old settings. We’ll update you early next week on when the new playlist will be added.

We want to hear from you about the changes we’re making. We’d also like to thank all of you for the constructive discussions and feedback we’re seeing. Thank you.

~ The Battlefield Team

This is mad. They have a TTK that the community loves. They change to it to make it easier for Christmas noobs to play the game. And then give the core community a separate playlist with the original TTK? Damn.

what i dont get is why people think longer TTK is easier??? surely having to hit your target more makes it harder
