Since these forums launched, people have been asking for a way to donate to the site. I didn't want to do it initially because I wanted to be able to give something back rather than just accept people's donations, hence the ads on the site, Amazon affiliation and the others. Once we hit our one year anniversary there have been more requests.

There are two categories of donating. The first is a "Supporting Member." It's $10 and lasts for one year. The second is a "Cornerstone Member." That's $50 and it lasts a lifetime. Both of these categories will allow members to view the site with no ads and also be able to add a cover photo to their profile page like I have here. You'll also get a nifty banner below your name showing the world your support! If you want to donate anything more, let me know and I can set something up. I plan to continue to look for ways that I can add to the Supporting and Cornerstone members.

To donate, click on your user name up in the user bar and under the drop down you'll see a link titled "Account Upgrades." You'll see both categories of upgrades. This is all done through PayPal and is secure. If you do not have a PayPal account you can donate just using your credit card/debit card though the same link.

Now, this doesn't entitle you to go buck wild on the forums. You'll still be subject to the rules as you've been since you've become a member here. So, conduct business as you've done in the past You can still get banned!

Sincerely,
Plainview

Hmm... And how much to become Elpresidente?

A massive thank you for starting these forums. I know I'm mostly a lurker, but you, and everyone involved have gifted me with hundreds of hours of entertainment and reading. If there's ever an event in Melbourne, and you need son cocerage/reports on the careers of the girls from 2 girls one cup, count me in. :D

Don't use PayPal. Is there any other way to do this?

I don't use paypal, and I was able to send Plainview money using a debit/credit card.

Right you are. You can send it without having a PayPal account!

I might do it sometime later this month. Although I think it should grant us some kind of troll post. $10 for a post and $50 for a thead. Shakey-shakey on it? Hell, now that I think about it, why not have a troll jar? You send 25 cents for every trolling moment you have.

Not a bad idea. Even though I don't post here as much thanks to my new job I will most definitely support these forums (probably this weekend, if not then next weekend for sure).

With Plainview at the helm this site will become the sun around which all other gaming sites, nay, all other WEBsites revolve. Beware ye men and gods, for you will be burned by the radiance of these forums!!

I gave $10.

Done. But for us Canucks it's actually $57 and change with the exchange rate! :)

I've never had a Paypal account until now where it says you have to create a profile before donating. But this cause is worth creating one.

Great job on the site PV. Nice to see you take charge and keep (in essence) TXB going.

This donation is actually a double boon. I've never done ebay as I never wanted to bother doing Paypal. But since the donation needs it and I now have Paypal up and running, I can get some stuff off ebay myself without pestering my brothers or friends to order something for me. lol
