Below

Just a heads up on this one. The guy told me (as I was getting my ass kicked) that the game is designed to just throw you in without explaining much of anything, including the play controls. So don’t expect much in the way of tutorials. Kind of a ‘learn as you go.’

Oh and most things try to kill you. I don’t
remember exactly but I’m pretty sure a bush or something like that hurt me at one point. And watching your guy slowly bleed out is sad.

I remember when people actually cared about this game.

This will be in Gamepass in January.

Is it exclusive?

I thought it wasn't. I could be wrong though or maybe I'm thinking about something else.

It is only on XboX and Steam...but in the way you mean, no.

Actually I meant other console, I wasn't sure.

For some reason I thought it was maybe changed to being a timed excl, unless I'm thinking another game.

Is there an easy difficulty?

Read...
."When it comes to other platforms, right now we’re just announcing Xbox and Steam. Beyond that, I can’t say, right now.”

What is the point of this game? There isn't any context and seemingly no story at all. You just get dropped on an Island and that is it. Why am I here? What am I trying acheive?

Visually nice.
Runs well.
Crafting seems more robust than you likely think.
Great atmosphere.
No hand holding.
Survival mechanics - Cold, food, water, health.
Perma death.

Played about 3 hours now and I like it. I just wish I knew what I am doing here and where I am trykng to get to.

I could be wrong but there is co-op in this game

I'm stuck on the soundtrack, it's kinda great. Haven't played the game yet outside of messing around trying to get a feel for the controls/combat; I'll probably dig in next week, there's simply too many games out right now.

Unless it hidden in some invisible menu, you're wrong, unfortunately.

He's probably thinking of Ashen maybe.

you might be right. For some reason I was pretty sure there was a video floating out there with more than 1 player.

*UPDATE* I don't know if it is still there but here is an old trailer that shows it.

I am not that crazy. Around 39 sec

Nice find, now that I'm seeing it again I vaguely remember this clip. Guess they ditched it.

Probably was a drop in/out ala Journey or something.

It’s...interesting. Not what I thought. Great sound. Some of the best sound of any game this year. Combat is mediocre (though that’s a step up from Red Dead 😜).

I got a little bored...and lost. Played about 2 hours before stepping on some spikes. Don’t like the survival mechanics. I don’t like rushing around when a game is based on exploration. This game could be a great chill game to play if they’d remove the mechanic where you had to eat regularly to survive. Lack of food seems like a greater threat than the enemies.

All that said, I want to go back and try it again now that I’ve had my first death. Still has a chance to grab me.
