Is this movie worth buying? (I would get the 4K) or is it a rental one and done.

I will definitely be buying Infinity War on release.

It is to me, but I’m just getting all of them, and sadly if there’s a collectors edition with all four phases of the MCU I’ll get that too :( :p

I was say it’s kinda filler, to inform you of the world of Wakanda. It has some fantastic fight scenes, especially the one at the case, spectacular camera work and choreography.

Killmonger is the best MCU villain, where Thanos is kinda just suave.

It’s a personal flick, kinda like the first Captain America flick.

So for you, maybe a rental or buy just the digital version if ya see it in the cheap, may wanna check out Disney’s Play Anywhere app or get it at Walmart during the first week of its release, where most movies are cheaper during that period.

So I havent seen Infinity Wars yet and just finished watching this and I liked it but I thought Thor Ragnarok was like sooo much better.I thought I needed to see this after Thor but really would not have missed much watching Thor after lol...maybe it will all make sense in Wars...anyway all caught up and going to go see Infinity this weekend at the Theater.

Finally got around to renting it. And I thought it was an Ok movie, not great. Some beautiful scenes though.

Cooglers most popular movie. But probably his worst as well.

Best pidture? Is this early April Fools? It isn't even a very good movie.

7 Nominations aswell. WTF is going on.

I'd call it an average movie, it has it's moments but the 3rd act is a big letdown and the special effects in that entire section of the film are terrible.

Hollywood has lost it completely in their strange war for political correctness... I'm not entirely sure what part of the movie is worthy of the nominations but I can honestly say I can't see it at all. Good for marvel though I guess, they really have pumped out great super hero movies and this was fine too.

but this is one of the worst. That isn't good for anybody.

All I get from this is, Fill your film with black people and maybe win an Oscar.

Its nominated because of Disney money and Oscars desperate attempts to stay relevant. Keep in mind they wanted to have a "popular film" category.

Its a good movie but Its not worthy of a nomination but neither is Bohemian Rhapsody and nobody will get upset by that.

So you mean that it's got nothing to do with an (almost) all out afromerikan cast?

If I cared about the Oscars I'd be furious Black Panther got nominated. Especially in a year Into the Spiderverse actually came out. But I don't.

I wouldn't say nothing but there are plenty of movies with black casts that don't get nominated or do well critically. If Beale Street Could Talk was critically acclaimed and that isn't nominated. Black Panther breaks through because of Disney money.

But its still was a well liked movie. Black Panther is on a lot of critic top 10 lists for the year. Bohemian Rhapsody isn't. Where is the outrage over that?

Important to note the audience score on RT for Black Panther is at 79% and a 66 user score on Metacritic. Both scores significantly lower than how critics judged it.

So, you and Swede are saying BlacKKKlansman has the win in the bag?

But I feel the two hero movies that deserve to be on said list are Spider-Man Enter the Spiderverse and The Dark Knight.

Nope...that movie focuses too much on the white man, Oscar denied!!!!

Any of Nolan Batman films are the only super hero movies that have potential for a best pic nomination, Dark Knight being the front runner. Which is funny since all other DC movies have been bad...while Marvel has had good consistency with good movies, but no standout like Nolan's Trilogy.

As much as I love some of the Marvel films I wouldn’t nominate a single one for Best Picture.

Out of all the comic book films I’ve seen over the years the only one that comes to mind for a BP nomination is The Dark Knight and maybe Logan. I thought Jackman at least deserved a nom for that.
